Everyone needs to realize how they treat people, strangers on the street, the people at the store, your neighbors, the homeless, we need to do better as humans or we can’t call ourselves anything but animals. Even animals work better together. No one should ever feel like Arther Fleck, but Arther Fleck is everywhere.

As soon as the boyfriend of his mother laid his hands on him, the Joker was born. The Joker was always there, trying to impress people, trying to give people a laugh. Something Arthur never experienced in his whole life, you know, the feeling that someone cared. But the people didn't took notice of him and when they did, they made fun of him. Arthur was the lowest low of society. He cared for his mother, didn't eat because he had no money, had never experienced real love, was always alone and had a shitty job, while he took care of his sick mother. For Arthur this was just life, but the Joker inside of him had enough. As soon as he got the gun and accidentally used it on the kids in the train, he felt powerful. Just in a matter of seconds, people who never noticed him, heard him. He learned that with fear and violence, something he had experienced his whole life and something that was so absurd normal for him, he could control others. For him it wasn't crazy, it was just how it always was from the beginning on. Like Carter Burke said: "Every villain is the hero of his own story." And the Joker was the hero for Arthur, someone who finally brought justice into his dark world, someone who finally could hear the music.

This movie speaks to a lot of people. I've been there before. Depressed. Feeling like the world is against me or ignores me. I've felt the weight and desperation to do something to be heard. I've also been at the other side of the spectrum, happy, empowered, close to feeling entirely whole. It's all just feelings. Now I just try to be centered. I acknowledge that these are just feelings. I meditate every morning and I try to be honest with myself daily. Memento mori.

A certain minority of people wanted this film stopped from being made or shown across the world. Surely this is a film of struggle? It shows a person that struggles mentally on a daily basis basically being ignored by the society around them. So the minority of these people should wake up and realise that this is possibly a portrait of a life they live and understand and agree with this movie instead of trying to shut it down before it's even began. Negative will always be in higher value over positive in someone who is dealing with mental illness. (Amazing video)
