Problem solved. I reloaded the firmware several times. Appears to be working now. Must have had a hiccup the first time I updated after unboxing.

@keyworks repair I appreciate the video! I had same issue. But then bought the xm smart key for my Toyota application. But now it doesn’t program anything to the car. I think I’m coming to the conclusion that the vvdi key tool max and mini obd are expensive paper weights. They don’t do anything. I have tried my hardest to do just two very common cars and they don’t work. I don’t understand. I’ve spent near $1000 and all I can do is generate remotes that don’t work and read transponders. I also think mine could be defective. It says my firmware doesnt cover something then when I hit update it says it’s at the highest level of updates. I’m at a loss and may send it back. So disappointed I have a 2014 Prius I’m trying to rescue with all keys lost. And I’ve wasted wayyyyyy too much time on Xhorse products. I think I have to spend a lot more and get the londsor k518 unit with emulator or something better than this Xhorse stuff. It’s ruining my 5th Day in a row. And silly me, I keep thinking it’s going to work , every time I buy something else for it!!!

@@l.bradley6195 If your looking for best key programming with some diagnostics then you'll want to go with autel im608. If you need pure diag with heavy module adaption then Maxysys Elite/Ultra
