I lived and worked in NY for many years when I was young. Regrettably, I have never visited the Met. It's because there are too many interesting places to see in NYC, and people tend to have different interests in different ages.

My uncle and auntie spent their whole life living in NYC and have never been there until I took them years ago. My great auntie stopped me to enter the Egyptian section that was my interest. She did not want to see the coffins 😮 Understood as a taboo of her senior age.

The painting and sculpture have different meanings for each element but if Americans understand the meaning behind them. Japanese knows it better and I shall select him as a companion to visit the museum. I don't mind you to join us in ikebana if you are interested.
