#japanesewoodworking ,#woodcraft ,#woodjoints This joint is used for structural materials with two sides visible. The "KanawaTugi" method is incorporated into the two invisible sides. It is a rather advanced fitting.

Hello , I’m really enjoying your videos , the beauty of the joints is in the skill but also the proportions .. are there set rules for the proportions of each joint ? And the angles of the Ari ? Would love to understand more … i am a carpenter all my working life (48 years so far ) thank you so much for your time in making these videos

Thank you for always watching. I am very happy that you rate my video. Even among Japanese carpenters, there are many people who are not conscious of the depth of the dovetail member or the angle of the dovetail. As for ants, I exaggerate a bit in the video, but I have something on my mind. Someday, I hope to be able to transmit such things in a video. Thanks for your comment.

Thank you. From now on, I will continue to introduce the old Japanese carpentry techniques that are being buried.

Excellent work. I am impressed with the speed of waste removal. Also no clamps to hold the work piece. Both are skills of an accomplished carpenter.

Thank you for watching. Clamps are used depending on the situation. I would like to continue introducing Japanese traditional joints and creative joints that emphasize design. Thank you.
