I'm the same way. Im always getting starter trees or seedlings. I like designing a tree and seeing them grow. I also don't have the money for a specimen tree so ill just grow my own. Ive learn a bunch from you and really appreciate it. Its nice to see someone work on trees that are closer to mine.

the Japanese trees like Japan maple, yamamomichi, keyaki...etc it's very expensive in Taiwan. like the small size keyaki in your video, it's price in Taiwan around JPY 7000. and momichi around JPY10000, if good root and trunk, may cost JPY 20000 up...😥 but, I just love them...

Isn't there the best tree species for bonsai that grows naturally in your country? It will take some procedure and money to send a tree overseas. .. .. I'm sorry. .. I reconfirmed that Japan is very blessed. The Japanese must be aware of this and protect this nature ...

@@-kimisbonsai- in fact I don't know why, but that's really not a good thing. most Taiwanese love the species from Japan, even though it's difficult to grow naturally and prone to disease like momichi...as far as I know, in Taiwan, the momichi tree needs shade in the summer, and in winter it needs to stay in the refrigerator around 2 months for hibernate....(笑)
