Easily the BEST orchestral version I've heard of J.S. Bach's Chaconne for solo violin. I'm in awe.
@barmusica68682 жыл бұрын
It's an orchestra arrangement from Busoni's piano arrangement, so it's very dramatic. I think Joachim Raff's arrangement is also excellent. However, it is limited to the performance of Leonard Slatkin ^ ^ It's a Google translation, so I'm sorry if the English translation is strange.

@@barmusica6868 Thank you for that information. I have watched an earlier performance of the same arrangement (also conducted by Seiji Ozawa), but still I like this performance better. It's very clearly articulated, well paced and, yes, dramatic. Mr. Ozawa conducted with so much more passion here (in my opinion), that I sometimes find his gestures "theatrical"--which I also like. I'll look for the Joachim Raff arrangement after this. No, the English translation is not strange at all. Again, I express my appreciation for you sharing this video.

As you may know, I recommend this if you don't know. I think this is the best performance in Chaconne conducted by Seiji Ozawa. It is a live performance when Hideo Saito's subordinates gathered and formed temporarily in 1984. The name at this time was Toho Gakuen Saito Memorial Orchestra. This was so terrible that I later (certainly 1987) started working as a SAITO-KINEN orchestra. The live performance in 1984 was, so to speak, a performance in which so many members met together for the first time, and the enthusiasm was tremendous. tower.jp/item/204270/%E6%96%8E%E8%97%A4%E7%A7%80%E9%9B%84%E3%83%A1%E3%83%A2%E3 % 83% AA% E3% 82% A2% E3% 83% AB% E3% 83% BB% E3% 82% B3% E3% 83% B3% E3% 82% B5% E3% 83% BC% E3% 83 % 88 SAITO-KINEN started from the performance of this disc! And it can be said that this disc is for listening to "Chaconne". The CD is from the Tokyo performance. Only the coder can watch the video from the Osaka performance. It appears in the famous documentary "OZAWA". kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmSymniaiJpgb7s That is what you see from 44:14. I think this video is the most amazing under the direction of Seiji Ozawa's Chaconne. @@barmusica6868 You're right. The 1984 version is the best version I've heard so far. The "thicker" lushness and intensity are just astounding. I listened to a recording of it here (kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5muan2hm7Wmjqc) because I could not find a complete video of it. I also listened to the Joachim Raff you recommended. It's very interesting. Starting off with just a few wind instruments before they were joined by a brooding bass, and then the rest of the orchestra. It's like watching the opening of the curtains of a mini-theater, only to reveal a world stage. I will watch the Seiji Ozawa video you recommended tonight. Again, thank you for this.

This is the performance when he was expressing his gratitude to Hideo Saito for his guidance. If his master, who was also a great artist, were alive, he would have expressed his gratitude to you. Please get some rest.

@@jinhonamgung8513 -San, I commented about the arrangement for orchestration by Saito.
Quelle beauté! Quelle douceur et quelle force! BRAVO!!! Mes sincères condoléances aux peuple japonais pour la perte de ce chef d'orchestre au grand génie. Salutation du Québec!
I truly appreciate and admire your video of Seiji Ozawa conducting Bach's Chaconne (arranged by Hideo Saito) with the Saito Kinen Orchestra in 2004. Understanding that KZbin is inaccessible in China, I'm eager to share this inspirational performance with a wider audience on the Chinese platform Bilibili. I assure you that full credit will be given to you as the original content creator, and a link to the original video will be provided. Your permission for this would mean a lot to me, and I thank you in advance for considering my request!
