A master piece and master performance . I played violin once under Ozawa's conducting and what a memorable experience . He brought out 100 percent of the musicians ability. And I love Ozawa's conducting by heart without constant page turning of the score.
What a shame there are only 18 comments to this glorious Symphony and a great performance!

Watching Ozawa conduct is a master class. And I love it at the end when he makes a tour through the orchestra! And what a sound this orchestra and maestro produce. Just sublime!

I’m completely blown away by this superb, superb performance. There’s something absolutely magical about this group of some of the best musicians in the world. They do not play together regularly, and despite that or maybe because of that, they are totally committed to making the greatest music together once a year. And of course it takes a conductor like Maestro Ozawa to pull this all together. What a performance. Bravissimi!
Magnificent. The clarity and professionalism of the players outstanding. Tempo a bit up. Osawa, mesmerizing, totally engrossed.

Perfectly played, perfectly balanced...perhaps the best Brahms you can get. As I already commented somewhere this Saito Kinen/Seiji Ozawa "combo" is magical.

One of the best performances we can see and hear on KZbin. Thanks to great Seiji Ozawa (as always) a well balanced but still energetic version of the Brahms Masterpiece. Especially Mr. Ozawa knows how to set tempi for the perfect flow from bar one to the end. One of the few conductors being in good pace but not too fast in the Finale. Thanks to Seito Kinen, thanks Maestro Ozawa

In the tapestry of the world's orchestral music, Seiji Ozawa emerges as a weaver of connections, threading his path through the luminous realms inhabited by maestros such as H. von Karajan and L. Bernstein. With a baton as his wand, he has conjured harmonies with the esteemed ensembles of the New York Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic, and Berlin Philharmonic, while also embracing the mantle of music directorship with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera. These accomplishments, like stars in the firmament of his career, shine brightly. Yet, one might ponder upon the melodies and harmonies that could have been, had Ozawa's baton danced more frequently with the orchestras of his homeland, Japan. It is a curious note in his symphonic magic that several premier Japanese orchestras have not felt the guiding presence of his baton. Imagine the pride and the profound resonance that would have filled the air, had Seiji Ozawa, a maestro recognized across the globe, lent his expertise and passion to Japanese orchestras with the same fervor. The music, undoubtedly, would have been a bridge between worlds, a harmonious blend of the global and the local, echoing through the hearts of many music lovers.

Ozawa becomes literally one with the music and this great conductor draws the orchestra into this realm and they become one with each other and then one with Brahms. This sounds corny but I can't put it into words any better.
Brahms , Concert , two , Phylarmony of Tokyo is very , very , Good ❤

A very very good performance. You can tell that Seiji Ozawa was inspired by Herbert von Karajan. This almost sounds like something Karajan would perform. It is so well performed

Cazzo, ma un video del genere interrotto dalla pubblicità a cosa serve? Almeno, chiariscelo nel titolo... tipo "Sinfonia 2 di Brahms con pubblicità", così almeno ne siamo a conoscenza da prima.
