That's a propagating misconception. If you have Xianyun you can test it yourself and see that dashing between Skyladders is no different than doing Skyladder everytime Xianyun touches the ground (like shown in this video). The only time dashing between skyladders is faster is if you are doing short distances where dash ICD comes into play. For marathons like this video, it makes no difference.

@@kyubey8081 well yes I did test it with me mate day 1, idk if the distance of ours test is considered as long, but the hop-dash-hop is ahead anywhere from 1-2 seconds. And I did not claimed that would turn her into sonic, it just give her a bit boost here and there and it may add up.

Not really. It is really annoying to time the dash press as if you press it too early you won't be able to dash. Also if you constantly use dashes stamina won't regen.

great comparison, though you didn't fully utilise Wanderer's stamina free dash at the end of his E, so a lot of time was wasted here, the fastest he can do is probably around 8:10-15, slightly slower than yelan in this upslope route but not as slow as 8:35 as showcased

C1 Xianyun makes the traversing in this game feels fun tbh, she doesn’t feel sluggish on any types of terrain. Maybe except for crossing valleys, Wanderer still edges her on that because fck they don’t let us use skill onborne.

Although yelan might still be the fastest over short distances as this test shoes xianyun gains an edge over long distances due to shorter cooldowns and those of who speak that yelan can use her skill twice after getting cons then same goes for xianyun and I feel like the guy wasted some time doing plung attacks with wanderer if not it would be close between yelan and wanderer and moreover she has vertical coverage aswell i mean cliffs and mountains. Its as if she is the jack of all trades. Love her❤❤

you don't even need to go that far, bro literally forgot his e existed half of the time. if you want to be picky, you could also say he doesn't stop dashing before the end of the kuugoryoku gauge when he is far from the ground to keep inertia, and even more importantly, most of the times he crosses turning sections, bridges and such, the very point of wanderer ability is to skip these parts. He could get at least 15% less time, probably even more, and in an actual exploration situation, it doesn't even come close (vertically, i must say xianyun is quite interesting, but she lacks the range + wtf is that cd :/)

You can also equip Lost Prayers to XY and Wanderer for 10% additional run speed.

Is easier to get better times on the other 2 since they are just straight forward, wanderer does have some tricks that can cut his time by a lot , one of the is cancelling e early for extra momentum or dashing sprint sash sprint which allows you to cover more distance with the same overall speed of his e not to mention you get more stamina regen that way Tldr take this with a huge grain of salt

If you go up a slightly to moderately sloped hill, just let go of the forward input while sprinting (only tap it to adjust your course) for Wanderer to keep most of his horizontal sprinting speed, and do the opposite against a very steep incline: float forward into the surface and let the angle carry him upward to climb it without using as much blue stamina as rising with a jump input would. Wanderer only really struggles with flat walls. Bonus: And when you're flying high off the ground or downhill, stop sprinting right as he's about to run out of blue stamina so that he'll keep his forward momentum while falling.

Xianyun still take the W because currently she's the best exploration character lol. Wanderer have to sacrifice speed for distance range unlike Xianyun, there's wind current gadget from Fontaine which everyone can use it including Wanderer but Xianyun has an advantage due to her gliding speed boost, anyway she's a teamwide healer so she's best friend with Furina for water exploration, Xianyun+Yelan is better than Wanderer+Yelan in general because both of them are support, meanwhile Wanderer is hypercarry but he and Xianyun duo are faster than Yelan variant, still waifu duo are more versatile and eye-pleasing than an emo short male. 🤢

i got both yelan c2 and xianyun c2. i think they fairly balance, yelan win if the ground totally flat and u went through the same path. But thats the thing, why would u go through the flat surface when xianyun can just parkour all of them and take a shortcut.

@@DragonMistEcstasy I'm sorry but I just don't like typical "Everyone is good in their own way" and "Pull whoever character that you like the most" because I have bad experience with it. Let's just say someone tell me that "You should pull for your 'favorite' character first" when I'm still newbie, guess what? I was regretting my decision after few patches later due to lack of sufficient objective informations. There should be an objective test to evaluate a character's pull value because it could be very helpful for new players, indeed the video still need a lot of improvements for better and more objective testing.

@@rickydinto I'm sorry to hear that and I understand your point of view. I've been playing since 1.2 and not once did I use such videos to decide which character to get. I always read about a character's kit and make my own judgement before I decide if I want them. Remember you are the best judge of what you want. However, in my case, the character also needs to be aesthetically pleasing with a good personality etc etc. Remember this is just a game and we are all here to have fun, so people can pull for whoever they like. Videos like these are not helpful unfortunately. For example, crossing gaps are Wanderer's and Xianyun's strong areas. With Yelan its not possible. Hence, videos like these don't offer any useful information, if that is what their intention is. Anyway, happy Genshining.

I've already wasted a lot of wishes for some characters by then even though these characters are aesthetically pleasing and alright to play but there are just better options. I don't say that "You shouldn't pull for whoever character that you like if it's not meta or anything" but reading kits are different than experience it yourself or visual representation in video. All characters that I'm regretted to pull for are generally good but it just doesn't have a good synergy with my 'other' favorite characters, it's a gacha game after all so pulling plans are very important because we have to wait nearly a year for rerun of older characters. All my friends who dissatisfied with Genshin Impact are caused by lack of planning and they're unaware of how important 'facts' are as deciding factor like [gameplay showcase, character guide, build tips, character review, kits discussion, etc]. It's maybe not as important for some players but generally speaking it's still helpful for the community, I have a bias and so do everyone else but I'm trying to be as objective as possible when I have to share anything in Genshin Impact. If we're talking about 'personal opinion' then Xianyun is not my most favorite character for multiple reasons; but it's already proven that she's very good for exploration, she's basically Kazuha+Yelan/Lynette+Jean in one slot for exploration even though she's not as good as everyone else in their own roles, she's still worth it to pull for her exploration supportive capability alone. Xianyun can fit in one slot for worth of multiple roles like land travel, slopes travel, vertical climbing, gliding speed boost passive, a teamwide healer because some players may prefer to use other characters in a team of 4 characters instead of let's say [Flex, Yelan, Kazuha, Jean] and now it could be [Flex, Flex, Flex, Xianyun], I mean sure Xianyun, Yelan, Kazuha, Wanderer, etc have their own strength & weakness but some characters are just generally better and more versatile for most players. •Flex = any character that we want to play.
