@@PaulMiskimmon They do, chinese spears/polearms are called 长枪, and they are made of oxenwood, copper/other metals, and can bend. I am about 100% sure that Jiyan is using one and the fact it bends is a very nice detail.

The thing is Genshin poor combat holds the game visuals back by alot Imagine if they intergrated Xiao basics into his normal rotation, but nooooo "Jump Plunge Jump Plunge repeat" Alot of cool animation you dont get to even see because they arent willing to make characters gameplay loop have more than 3 steps to them

@@DCminh-pe9wf Xiao plunging gameplay is still far more fun and satisfying compared to Jiyan though, and Jiyan is arguably has the most boring gameplay so far even if you put him in Genshin with the same mechanic. Sure his animation is cool, but it doesn't change the face that 90% of his gameplay is just spamming basic attack after Ult.

Xiao and Jiyan are the reason I played GI and WuWa. Xiao is one of my favorite characters in Genshin and my comfort character, his animation and attacks are good. but Jiyan is on a different level compared to Xiao. love both!

i just realized that most 5* polearms only have launch attack as charged/hold move (zhongli has spear warp and probably knave) xiao moveset seems acrobatic compared to the other polearms being short (many kid polearms are 4* anyways like mika) Jiyan's use of both spear and broadsword as well as you notice how the spear bends when launching an upward strike really feels the impact for me...

The dragon daddy is superior in terms of animations but both of them spam the same moves so nothing too different here , but i hate the boy model in genshin . Especially considering that xiao is 2000+ years old 😂

Okay so here's a non biased take : Fast movement on Xiao's skill makes the transition smoother and are more pleasing to see while his basics attack are just shits. Jiyan's wide variety of unique basic attack animation and the dragon's appearance on his arm at the end of his skill are the best part about him in this video and the rest of his skill animation seems just okay imo when compared to Xiao's skill cuz of the slower pacing (Keep in mind I'm not taking ultimate/liberation in consideration as it wasn't mentioned in video)

Yes! The bad part is the revenue was falling down but the quality still kept improving. Animations, Voiceacting, QOLs and etc got better in less than a year. It got 2 region expansion in 3 patches and gave out a free limited character. It would be nice if the top revenue generating game in the genre had the same improvement.
