Well…my guess is because of “cosmic balance”. Without all 4 warriors, evil usually overpowers them. In this case, when Omi became evil he became as strong as Chase Young. With more time and training, he would have eventually became too powerful, and nobody would have been able to stop him.

He's a naive mental youngster while you had like 1500 years to focus your craft and clown even Wuya, an ancient Heylin witch who's basically a Goddess. In short, you hone Broly's talents into either breaking balls, hitting Homers, or pitching dirty. After you win the world series, and that's a when, not an if; well there, you can slither away in peace knowing you made a powerful ally.

I think, Omi could be the more powerful of the Xiaolin side, never was revealed what was the mark in his head. When he turns into heylin side, the world is destroyed but when he turns into a cat because the Loyalty to Chase, Chase can use the mark, he becomes more powerful and use new powers.

The problem comes down to how MUCH power he gives her. Wuya is a horrifying powerful being, even chase Aknowkedges that. Even if he only gives her enough to make soldiers, that might be enough for wuya to do other things, including getting the rest of her power without chase's say so behind his back. It'd far smarter to keep her in a completely controlled state while giving her a body to make her useful and shut her up to keep her as a ally rather then use her at a more powerful, less controlled state that would eventually lead to her backstabbing you for sure.

Chase has a pretty good idea on how powerful Wuya can be if restored to full power. He wouldn't risk her having that power and then turning on him. Besides, one can argue that his jungle cats and skills as a warrior alone are more than enough for him and he just keeps Wuya around as a means to keep her in line just in case.

Too risky. Wuya is by far the most powerful villain in the series and even a small amount of her magic probably be too much for him to handle. It might also be an all or nothing thing where he can give her all of her powers or none of them, so he had to play it safe

Whether for bad purposes or not, a sort of kinship does exist between the two. Mostly because of their equal interest in martial arts and their strong pride in their own martial arts and desire to be the best, though Omi learns to be humble later on. Only difference is Omi ultimately is loyal to the good side and is willing to set aside his pride for thr sake of good while Chase was not and ultimately became the best villain of the show.

Depends, I don't think both are bad choices. Raimundo was chosen on to become dragon warrior true, and that means he has quite the skills to do so (and he worked for them) but I don't think it's just that, he also has a sense of leadership and a great intuition, so power is not the only thing to become a warrior. Omi is more like a prodigy, in his case he was born special and the training helps him how to use his skills/powers but that's about it, he's also naive and arrogant on some occasions. He wasn't fit for the "chosen one" role but if Chase was going for that and he made a mistake with Omi, then this looks more like a lucky mistake on his part since Omi still fit some role of "special" to gain power from. Chase only saw the power, he may had noticed Raimundo's potential too but he ignored it. Plus Raimundo has been through this with Wuya before, and he's the type to not repeat his mistakes so chances for him to join were lower in comparation to Omi and his naive nature. Not to mention Omi likes and wants to feel special (he's also competitive about it), Chase just had to feed into his ego a bit.
