I agree, however there was some things I do miss about my 11T Pro. I felt the build was a bit nicer and the speakers were amazing on the 11T Pro with the HK tuning. But for an upgraded camera and good processor it's worth the upgrade, we can't have it all ;)

I've been using 10t pro since 2020 and I just switched to 13t pro recently. Right off the bat, there is a huge difference in camera quality and its weight overall. In terms of the processor, 10t pro is still in the league however the 13t pro is on the top shelf in general.

Why? Planned obsolescence. The EU can't enforce replaceable batteries fast enough. You could try and look up a disassembly video to replace the battery yourself but for most people it's not worth their time/effort and they just buy a new one.

You forgot to mention the log feature for videos recording. That one was the best feature I have seen from other reviewers that made me wanna buy it soon. The log feature will be very helpful for video editing especially if you are color grading your footage. I hope you can mention some more features whne you do a review like this. Aside from the camera, the log (histogram) is also one thing I consider why I will be buying this phone..

I really like the Xiaomi 13T Pro, the design, display(yes, it's a flat display), the camera set-up with Leica tuning. The powerful flagship Dimensity 9200+ and as expected the battery life is decent( as MIUI is a power draining software). And lastly, the price. I only wish the selfie cam has pixel binning or has autofocus. And the telephoto cam is only 2x. Still prefer a 3x zoom or a 75mm lens. Btw, i would pick the Xiaomi 13T as it's at a cheaper price.

@unholydonuts i have already bought it, don't worry about the battery, i couldn't kill it in one day. Yes I expected more battery life, but as long as it is an all day 🔋. It is fine. Yes the selfie lacks details, but the colors are good. What I don't like is the bezles around the screen, they are relatively thick. The performance is great. The phone's frame is aluminium not plastic...I don't know what phones you guys had for your review (and other channels as well) but the frame is definitely not plastic. It's on Xiaomi's website as well under specifications + you can clearly feel it while holding the phone in your hand...

Because it really is plastic. Maybe there is aluminium beneath the plastic layer, but the outher layer is plastic for sure. Hence there's also no antenna lines on the frame. On every phone with aluminium frame there are.

I had Mi 10 than Mi 11 and now 12 Pro. I can tell that Mi 11 do indeed have more details (Mi 11 and 10 same MP) in the photos compared to Mi 10. But Xiaomi 12 Pro. Yes only 12MP. But much more detailed. The compression of the Photos are much better now. But you can see that there are sadly less MP but the compression is much better now so not a big deal

Then I replaced it with S21 (the vanilla one) and it had the best details among all phones I had so far thanks to the great 64MP mode. It was even better than the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in bright conditions (during the night the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was more detailed, though). When I shot 64MP photos with the S21, I used to downsample them 4 times with 16/9 ratio (removing some portion from the top and bottom) for use on my large TV. The details were perfectly preserved. It's pity that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra does not support natively 12MP 16/9 photos downsampled from its 50MP mode, which is very detailed even at night. From my experience with various smartphone brands, none of them is capable of making great native 12MP photos as they always exhibit a certain amount of artificial sharpening. Sony phones tend to add the lesser sharpening, but sometimes they lack a proper HDR treatment.

Is 13t pro a good enough upgrade to Mi 11 or is the regular 13 pro a better fit? I'd actually be going down from 1440 to 1220 resolution, having a lower resolution on a smaller screen. On the other hand, the refresh rate is 144Hz, it has a dedicated telephoto camera as opposed to the macro I've never used, the charger is more than twice faster, battery is larger and there's 4 years of updates guaranteed. I didn't catch what kind of glass it has. The Mi 11 has Gorilla glass Victus on the front. How much cheaper it is compared to the 13 pro?

The phone is great! The only thing I do not like is the way the dynamic refresh rate is handled. You already said that the 144hz refresh rate can be reached only in certain games but did you know that the dynamic refresh rate only works when your screen is over 60% brightness... If your screen is running on less than 60% brightness, you are stuck at 120hz which drains battery and baffles me. Moreover, instead of having a proper adaptive refresh rate, you get either 60hz or 120hz. On the Mi 10T for example, you have a way better adaptive synch, litterally dropping to what you currently need, not just either 60 or 120 and it works on low brightness too.
