Both are good enough..Both of these two use flagship sensor camera..The only difference is the approach of software procesessing..Small minor problem can be fix by software updates..For me some photo vivo is perform better,some photo xiaomi is better..Need to wait more updates for more stable and mature then u should try again..If not then just install and use gcam.We can tune it as much as we like and want 😄 Thanks han..Support from Malaysia ❤

Now come to point , For me ViVo x series is still king of Mobile Photography , even it has also a very good video output but still for videos for me still king Iphone , and now here is our Xiaomi 14U , Xiaomi has done very well in this year with their Hyper OS, But for the price and overall verdict For me I'll anytime pick up ViVo x100pro over the Xiaomi! I am amazed with vivo because older sensor vs newer sensor and still they outperform xiaomi in many ways. selfie vivo x100 my opinion better edge detection and I like the performance of vivo in low lights both in video and images

What a perfect comparison video, thank you! You said it when you said it's subjective, as both phone cameras are very good. I prefer the Xiaomi. It is soft yet very detailed. It has all the necessary information in beautiful quality in there. I love to edit photos on the Phone with Lightroom and the Vivo leaves very little room for editing. Which is just... what it is, it doesn't mean one is better than the other. I like the softer processing as I can add contrast and sharpening, to MY taste... or not. The Vivo has pretty much done those two things for you, so you can just click and send. Which would suit many users. NB: Please correct me if I am wrong but in the last sequence, 4K/30 fps, World's Oldest Brewery... it seems like the Vivo is on the right and the Xiaomi on the left. ? Which is a no lose situation, either way. If that IS the Xiaomi on the right, then it can do contrasty and sharp too! And right at the beginning (the girl's face) you seem to focused the Xiaomi on the background 😃

well if you are kind of person who likes to edit the auto mode is pretty much useless ...you rather take the full controll manually with pro mode and aslo apply editing...rest assured it's your choice.....

hi bro very nice honest reviews! If possible, can you help me decide for this? my top picks would be vivo x100 pro (budget wise), oppo x7 ultra (budget wise) and maybe xiaomi 14 ultra (for a bit extended budget incase its really good). My main focus would be cinematic/movie mode video recordings for our live band gigs which have a bit of low light scenarios with a bit of spotlights or lights pointed out to the main subject (live band). Which would be better choice for this incase? hope you can help me out bro. I wanted an android phone that can match the smoothness of iphone 14 or 15 on video cinematics and so far in the videos ive seen, the stable one that can match iphone cinematics smoothness would be samsung 24 ultra. Photography wise, i would accept any of the three since im happy with their photography testings so far. :D thanks bro!

It performs very well on both devices. I expected the 14 ultra to take better photos thanks to the lyt900 sensor it has. Maybe it will get better with updates. Vivo looks very successful. I use 13 ultra. If I had a choice, I would choose 14 ultra. The camera menu is more attractive to me. Good review, greetings from Turkey.

About the selfie I don't care who wins although both looked decent....and considering the price somehow Xiaomi is failing to keep up with vivo...the 4k video footages have totally different color grading....so Xiaomi need to improve fast, otherwise the ultra tag will have no meaning 🙄

Vivo is great both in pictures and videos in all lighting conditions. Plus it has a solid performance whether you choose the dimensity or Snapdragon variant. Plus it's cheaper than the Xiaomi

I used the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for a few days and found that it gets quite hot when taking photos and video for some time. Probably the Snap 8 gen 3 is hot, I have snap 8 gen 2 and it’s not as hot. As for pictures quality, it is great. Still my girlfriend prefers photos on the Vivo, I guess women would prefer better skin smoothening of the Vivo

Thanks Han. Was looking forward to this. It's so great that you include human subject photos and portraits with people often in trickier indoor environments as it's a big distinguisher between phones. Vivo won overall especially considering the price. Surprised how good their 3x zoom is without a dedicated telephoto (but still the 3.2x telephoto on the Xiaomi 14 ultra is better here). Human subjects on the main camera were better on the x100 pro but portraits were closer. I preferred the Xiaomi slightly for the telephoto portraits. Vivo better overall for nightime photos especially considering the telephoto and ultrawide. The main camera is nip and tuck. Daylight very close between the two. Considering camera performance alone the x100 pro offers very good price to performance ratio. I'm not sure how much camera improvement though they'll be able to manage with the x100 ultra.

On human subject, Vivo looks more true to life meanwhile Xiaomi has a warmer tendence. Both are great, but I like Vivo more. On portrait photos same happens, Vivo looks like normal human portrait meanwhile Xiaomi makes human like zombies alike, so white. On selfie photos both are similar to me, and as a costumer who doesn't care about selfies both are great choice. Night mode I like Vivo since it handles light better than Xiaomi and also colors are more true to life +less noise. Ultrawide night photos looks almost the same, but Vivo handles light sources better. Zoom night photos both shine with their sensor ranges. That night video from Vivo is almost perfect, shame from Xiaomi disappointment. Vivo also takes the daytime photos, really top notch performance. Daytime ultrawide looks almost the same, but Vivo has a better dynamic range here. Daytime zoom performance same as night time, up to 5x Xiaomi better and beyond Vivo takes the lead. I like the Vivo daytime video more, better colors, dynamic range and details. Xiaomi needs to improve a lot since Vivo x100 pro plus will be launched soon. For me Vivo wins since it's cheaper and delivers better performance. Great review brother Han. I just came back to Germany from my home country and couldn't watch your latest uploads yesterday.

Ultra still gets some Updates also vivo is very long on the market and got many updates already. Samsung got already beaten on some reviews without the upcoming updates. Also if you use 5x for a protrait picture it's way better than on portrait mode and better than vivo x100 pro you can see it on ben gadgets review.
