On point with the explanation, and I do agree on most of the things mentioned here. (I'm using X14T Pro too, greetings from IDN!) 1. Battery life: yeah, it drains out rather quickly, and since I limit the charge to 80%, I have to charge the device twice a day. Never a problem with the 120W brick though. 😎 2. Cameras: the lack of OIS is a bummer, esp. on a telephoto. I feel like the photos taken with the phone got sharpness cranked way too high, I need to adjust my expectations and making sure to actively use EV metering. (Usually I set it to -0.7). But yeah, the camera is so fast in both taking the picture and process it. 3. Display: Nothing too fancy here. 4. Design: As most people have noticed, the design is quite lacking. But then again, when I use the phone, I never look at the back of my phone. So, in the end, it doesn't really matter. 🤷‍♂ 5. HyperOS: goddammit Xiaomi could you please make your OS more consistent and enjoyable? If there's anything that they could improve, it will definitely be the OS. Optimization+Performance is king. I'll have to admit, the gallery editor is the best I've ever seen on any android OS. 6. Price: It's bang for the buck if you can get the version with FREE brick+Wireless Adapter 7. Everything else feels pretty standard for a flagship killer. To summarize, the plus side of this phone outweighs the negative side, so this phone is absolutely worth it. Flagship grade with a not-so-flagship price. 🔥

@@raid1010 battery life could vary for each use scenario, for those who use the camera a lot like I do, you'll feel the need to carry a brick (I prefer to bring wireless power bank). Don't let my short review be your hindrance! 😆

It's a Xiaomi feature to not show notifications in lock screen. There is an option to show notifications by searching lock screen notifications and enabling them for each app

That's all enabled for my essential apps and like I mentioned, I can see it on the lock screen when it's a new notification, but once I unlock the lock screen, it disappears when I visit the lock screen again 🙃

This is not actually a bug, but that's how Xiaomi's work, even back then in MIUI Once you have unlocked the phone, the current notifications you have will not appear again in the lock screen the next time the phone gets locked, unlike other Android OEMs. Weird UI design, but learned to live with it in the last 4 years, cause I like my lock screen always cleared from notifications. The system also assumes that when you unlocked your phone, you are done with the notifications you have missed.

There is a feature that requires you to activate face unlock to use it, which is not showing the content of notifications until the phone recognizes your face.

I’m totally agree with you. Especially for the camera with leica. I used pixel 6 and now change to Xiaomi, I’d like to say the camera is much better and the color、screen and hand feel is nice. Thank you for sharing your experience of this phone❤

I bought mi14T pro after watching reviews on KZbin to replace my 2-year-old Pixel 7 pro. After 2 weeks of using, now I am switching back to Pixel 7 pro. This is a flagship wannabe but not quite there yet. The hardwares are impressive on paper but the OS sucks! The OS is not optimised to work perfectly with many apps and headphones e.g. Grab and its volume button can't control the volume of my openrun pro. It also comes with bloatwares such as the annoying GetsApp that recommends and installs the apps you don't need (best thing is you can't delete it!!). The camera has very slow shutter during low-light environment means you need a super steady hand. Their so-called AI features are bunch of jokes!! The audio transcript features take ages to complete...my complaint list goes endless and thus i switched back to my google pixel 7 pro which provides a great software experience and great camera. This will be my last xiaomi phone ever.

Everything you've said is very true. Fantastic hardware, horrible software. For me luckily I was able to use the bloatware remover to get rid of all the unnecessary stuff. GetApps was the first to go. Followed by Themes, Gallery and a bunch of other nuisance apps. It's not where I would like the OS to be but it's infinitely better now. I've grown quite fond of the phone since then. Circle to Search works fabulously and I have fully dependent on it. I'm yet to get the AI updates so I can't comment on that

The camera system its very bad: You can't adjust the sharpness level something that even a phone from 2017 can, the telephoto lens in photo mode have zero stabilization, ZERO! neither OIS or EIS, this is very bad for a 650+ Euros phone! (the honor 200 does have telephoto stabilization...). The file its too much flat when you zoom in both in video and photos, absolutely no details.. the colors are ok except for the enormous difference that you have between the sensor especially with artificial light. Main camera its ok, but for a phone with that price camera its below the acceptable 5 out of 10.
