Hi, thanks for the feedback, I usually dont suggest repeaters, but if that is what you really need, check out the tenda ac23 for it has repeater mode, and i think price is now around 2000. reason why i suggest tenda ac23 is you can test first if the wifi router mode can give you better signal than your stock modem router, and if not you can use it as repeater.. :)

Hi Mark, no need to extend both, once connected yung repeater with one SSID it will rebroadcast 2 SSID, 1 for 2.4ghz and 1 for 5ghz... if possible piliin yung 5ghz na i rerebroadcast po.. :)

thank you my friend ( I did receive the Router Redmi Ax6000 just yesterday) and I do try * it without Internet I just try to see how much speed of it on WiFi signal 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHZ . I am don't understand . Because the speed it is registered on my laptop / at sitting WiFi it is just ( 200/400 mb/s) for 2.4 GHz but they register at information at website and on Box about 1.200GHz . But I see on my laptop just 200/400.GHz * I did try also the 5G signal . And the speed of wifi just 430/860GHz on my laptop without internet. But there registered information on Box and at MI website the 5G speed for this router is about 4800 GHz . But it is just 400/800 GHz .. so can you explain why ? And I did try changing the settings and still same . So??.

Hi, maybe the network card on your laptop has a limitation, try to check the specification of the network card, there might be a bottleneck.

​@@oneyear-lh3st Hi, yes wifi nic adapter from laptop/desktop should be changed as well if you want to utilize the whole bandwidth of your wifi network (depends on your wifi router if capable of gigabit wifi network). also check the wifi 6 card that you will purchase, because it does not mean that you are using wifi6 automatically you will obtain more than gigabit wifi network.

Hi sir, if regular 4a lang po nakuha mo, wan port nya is max of 100mbps and lan ports is 100mbps, if source ng internet mo is more than 100mbps, magiging limited ka to 100mbps. is less than 100mbps naman po subscription plan mo okay lang sya.. while gigabit 4a is upto 1000mbps capable sya.. kaya walang issue is more than 100mbps internet subscription plan mo po..

Hi Mae, if kaya ng lan cable better connect a lan cable kung likod lang, baka kasi d ka masatisfied sa repeater, ung xiaomi extender pro, automatic half connection, okay naman ung xiaomi 4a gigabit at tenda ac23 for wireless repeater function. and take note din po, na for your repeater to work and be reliable, need nya ng magandang signal coming from the main wifi router.

2.4ghz lng kc yung black na repeater kaya mas mabagal. 5Ghz is always faster but has shorter range. pero nasagot naman ng video mo yung tanong ko if pwedeng gamiting wireless repeater yung 4A. TY. will get the gigabit one.

Hi sir, opinion ko po ang reason why mataas ang speed nyo sa mi 4a is due to its dual band frequency. Yoir phone is connected to the 5ghz frequency. The 2.4 ghz freq is the one linking to your huawei. If you will connect to the 2.4 ng mi 4a you will get same results as mi extender (since this is soley 2.4ghz) . nice video po.

Hi Strawhat, no need po ng lan cable just tested ngaun to see, after configuration from wireless repeater mode, sasabihin nya connect manualy, kasi na disconnect ka from the connection, then makikita mo na ung new name ng repeater with the word "plus" as dulo.. :)

kung abot sa kabilang bahay ung signal, pwede naman po dapat ung xiaomi to act as wireless repeater, pero for that range around 38 meters mukhang mahirap and baka d maging stable, since a repeater needs a good signal strength para repeat nya ung connection (since na mention mo na sobrang hina na ng connection). pede i try pero it is not guaranteed, what i can suggest para stable ung connection, kung kaya naman, latag ng lan cable from 1 house to another, since max lan cable length is 100 meters.. :)

Di kase stable ping pag naglalaro ng MOBA malakas naman speed ng net 100+mbps(speedtest) at kahit nasa 30+ lang yung ping pag nag iispeedtest ako isa pa may mga 2 PC's ding nakakonek pero di naman heavy usage yung sa PC.

Hi Sir, base sa scenario mo po negative kung gagawin mong repeater sila, kasi po base dun sa setup mo, direct sa main modem-router ka naka connect, hindi na stable, pag naglagay ka ng wireless repeater ganun din mangyayari, since ung signal nya is mangagaling sa main modem-router, pero pwedeng add new router to your main modem-router, it might improve, pero to test bago ka bumili ng additional router, try mo mag lan cable using laptop or desktop, then mag games ka dun, kung okay speed and maganda latency buy additional router, pag hindi pa din okay, ISP issue na po un..

Pag naset up ko na po yung Source wifi name/password and relaid wifi, hindi same yung nagappear sakin. Sayo nakalagay couldn't connect. Pero sakin Try connecting to wifi hotspot manually

Hi Mark, sorry i have to confirm pa, for the non Gigabit version wala pa kasi ako nung d gigabit version, and may isang tao na nag comment na din before na wala daw repeater capability.. pero d ko pa sure..

Hello sir, I'm trying to setup my 4a router as repeater using the app but to no avail. Pansin ko po pinapaselect ako ng country / region pero sa inyo hindi. Also, wala sa selection ang Philippines. Not sure what I can do, di ko siya magamit at all. :(

Apparently, the problem is that the portal/app does not accept special characters when the wifi (where the router/repeater will connect to) contains special characters. I tried setting up using a wifi with a purely alphanumeric password and the setup was successful.

Hi Zei, yes I was able to select a country/region. But the issue is with our PLDT wifi password. It had special characters and the app was not accepting them. I had to change our wifi password.

Hi sir, have not tried but i think it wont work, since ung sa company with web login have a system to accommodate users, while repeater mode is just based on the regular wifi broadcast signa. (maybe im wrong, baka may ibang sumagot dito, pero as concept negative po)

@@sicnarf_1013, actually i find it interesting, kaya lang d ko na test now since wala na ung piso wifi ko, with captive portal un. pero the idea kasi of captive portal is to authenticate to connect. and connecting a wifi repeater does not give you an authentication page for the portal.. sorry talga d ako makakatulong walang experience sa question mo po.. kung nasa akin lang sana ung piso wifi box, :)

Hi Rich, any router will reach that 100mbps kahit 2.4ghz, based s mga router na na test ko. it depends kasi habang lumalayo ka sa router, mas nababawasan speed ng internet.. fot the cheap router na capable less than 2k, go for tenda ac11 or ac23, if less than 1k, mercusys mw305r (Single band nga lang)
