Almost all xiaomi new phone require wait 7 days since the last policy. The reason why is because in china and most country have 7-days-refund policy, xiaomi face many shit user unlock the boltloader and break the phone then refund the product within the 7days. The process was absolutely ridiculous ... I had to BUY a data package just for this, Had to boot into Windows because the unlock tool only has a windows version Then I had to go through a hassle of installing Android drivers because they don't just work out of the box on Windows At least I didn't have to wait any time once I got there, got it unlocked first try instantly, I think the new unlock tool doesn't have this time restraint anymore.

One weird thing to try is to unlock with a computer that has an Intel chipset and use make sure to specifically use a USB 2.0 port (if you don't have 2.0 ports, try using a USB hub). There are some weird issues with AMD systems, where the device isn't detected properly. For the already unlocked message, try adding MIUI account again and waiting 7 days (first check if MiFlash tells you to wait 168 hrs by trying to unlock).

For instant unlock of bootloader we have to flash stock rom using miflash tool. But you need to change some settings In the bottom of the flash software you need to choose flash all option. This method worked for me.

I literally bought a new phone because Xiaomi's locked bootloader BS resulted in my phone getting bricked. I flashed Xiaomi's own OFFICIAL global ROM because I was traveling, had to rely on apps like Grab, and they wouldn't work on the Chinese ROM since it is without the required Google Play Framework and prevents the Framework from installing. Like you, I was told to wait one week so I could just have a shot at unbricking my phone, but needed my phone to book hotels and check maps. Using a computer, I emailed Xiaomi for support, and they said they would only help me if I returned to the country where I bought the phone - meaning once I returned from the vacation I just started. I couldn't sit around waiting for that long, nor could I just go back to where I came from. I cut my loss by buying a a non-Chinese phone, and will never buy Xiaomi phones again.

Weird - I recently flashed custom roms on Note 5 pro, redmi 4 and redmi 3s prime. All of them were unlocked instantly without the waiting time. The only thing I had to face with 3s prime was that I had to create a new mi account with another number. This was because first two devices were unlocked using the original mi account and there is a maximum limit of mi devices one can link to the account.

I waited 168 hours and then my tool said unlock failed 99 percent. After trying 168 hours unlock has failed. I have the account associated with the phone and logged in the only thing wrong is I don't have sim but when I used the miunlock tool earlier I had the sim inserted with data fully working and account fully linked for 8 days over 168 hours. Yes of course They have 3 reasons to do - Recouping costs with ads - Ppl buying xiaomi phones from china (which is cheaper) and reselling it global rom, so they made unlocked bootloader necessary - Ppl injecting MIUI with adware and bloatware, so requiring time before bootloader was unlocked may deter them (but then again, if they were really committed they will do so) Gotta love Xiaomi, people were bothered by 3rd parties injecting adware n bloatware on their phones, so they saved them the hassle n locked the bootloader, AND INJECTED BOTH OF IT THEMSELVES 😂🤣

Just used another sim card and make an account using that sim card number and log it in your phone, then log it in miui flasher then that will be unlock. I try it many time and this method was the most successful so far. Use this method and if it's successful then thumbs up to me hehe

Maybe it's showing can't get info because you haven't add account from the unlock status. If you still get a "can't get info" error than sign out your mi account, sign in again and try when find device option is enabled.

This isn't just about MiUi is what I think. I have been unlocking devices and using custom roms for years now. What I can tell from that is, it is good to have such a thing as from the security point of view. If bootloader unlocking was kept very easy, devices might have been unlocked very easily if stolen or even by someone you know to install RATs. I have tried this with my samsung devices and its just too easy. Which isn't actually good. Also, if a person is going to unlock a device, he/she must have knowledge about changing developer settings and such things, so not a deal breaker. I have a Poco F1 and I got it unlocked in 3 days. No hassles. I get what you mean to say, but just rethink it in from security perspective.

There are several reasons why xiaomi is doing this, to complain about it without knowing is simply being ignorant. Xiaomi is doing this to avoid customers from being able to receive a device with modified software (mostly advertisements for the 3rd party sellers). This was fairly common at xiaomi's early days and even posed a big problem in their reputation, and in the way they sell makes it even harder for xiaomi to solve the 3rd party seller issue. Customers often get hard bricked devices upon updating their software leading to complaints.

I unlocked my Xiaomi note 5 bootloader in frist attempt..I want say you guys ..if u want to unlock bootloader in any Xiaomi phone take a new fresh sim card..then make a new mi account and reset password turn on find my device and syncing..now clear your recent apps ..and go devloper options select mi status then Add account..then..go via mi flash and sign in ur Mi account..fastboot your device hit Unlocke...your bootloader will be successfully unlocked..this is my experience..Enjoy

There are a apps that is Mi unofficial bootloader unlocker. I have unlock my bootloader with in 2 minutes. No waiting time, instantly unlocked. With official apps we have to wait till unlock. So try unofficial one . 😎

Please try making a video on unlocking bootloader for Samsung galaxy phones. I have seen multiple videos on how to bypass the waiting time and heck I even waited more than 7 days like even a month but still I'm not able to see the OEM Unlock button in developer options. If you know the solution to this then please make a video or if possible give me a solution to this. Thank you.

Your video's are owsm.. but looking from different perspective as unlocking a phone requires miui account crediantials so if our phone with locked bootloader is stolen then no one can access it unless they know our details like I'd and password.. any comments on my point?
