Thank you so much! I adjusted them after 1700km and it feels like a brand new scooter.

Be careful to adjust the cable tension so that the disk brake engages AFTER the front e-ABS brake. That way you get the full stopping power of both wheels, and you get the benefit of battery regeneration, and you save wear on the disk brake. Thanks for a really helpful video.

so loosing to it so it start braking after ?

@@FiveTM Others say that it should only lock the rear wheel, when the brake lever is completely pulled. Thus minor braking would initiate the front e-ABS.

Very helpful comment! I also adjusted mine to first blink the rear light and then to touch the disc brake. This way the cruise control will be deactivated, the mainboard knows that I'm braking, before the rear disc is physically breaking. It is just a little bit looser, but i will use it now at this setting. Other option for me was to tighten the cable as here in the video, but I'm afraid i will lose more rubber from the rear wheel, I don't drive very fast. Btw my disc arrived bent, it was hit by sth, but i managed to deform it in the almost perfect shape using an adjustable wrench!!! I'm happy now, just waiting for good weather to go outside and test :)

Thank you for the video, very clear even to a total noob like me. I had a problem with the disc touching the pad after a fall, and followed your advice to adjust the caliper. However, I first tried releasing the cable but could not loosen the two screws with which you started: they were like stuck to each other, and turning in the same direction, and using pliers was starting to mangle the metal. I then realised I DID NOT need to release the cable in order to adjust the caliper, and did the latter successfully. Why do you then start by releasing the cable?

Faster and more accurate is to: fold scooter, unscrew two rear break mounting bolts, place a postcard between internal pad and disc, squeeze break lever on handlebars, while holding the lever squeezed, tighten mounting bolts, after that tighten the break link to perfection. ... no need to fine tune the internal pad anymore, as thanks to postcard disc is just next to it , and at a perfect angle. PS only the outside pad moves when you squeeze the lever, that's why you want to position your disc next to internal pad and adjust the link.

hey man, did you have to make like a reaaaally hard force to unscrew the bolts? I don´t know why but mines are really really hard, can´t move them even a little bit

Works great, thanks! Just thinking, instead of using a card perhaps just tighten the rear pad a turn onto the disc, do the adjustments you mentioned, and back the rear disc off again when needed.

I have read that some people say in other places that in order to adjust the brake pad / mechanism, it's necessary to press the brake lever strong, and then adjust all the things that you do. Is it true? I really don't know what must I do.

so i did like you showed in the video. but one thing i am still asking is. how much do you have to push the brake lever? in my case i have to press it completely to the end to make it full brake. and i am not sure if this is good because on my bicycle i also have brake disc but i only have to push it the half to make it full brake. so i couldn't figure this out in your video. thx
@Hrisson
@Hrisson 6 жыл бұрын
whiteCHAYTON these brake disc are not very efficient, they are not hydraulic. You might have to push your lever deeply, depends on your disk shape and brakes ajustements
@escorpionkuix
@escorpionkuix 6 жыл бұрын
It really depends on how sensitive you want it to be. I for example have it so the wheel will lock when pulling the lever about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way. That way I don't have to travel a lot to adjust pressure. Some of my friends however prefer to use the whole range of motion on the lever. I would say that as long as you are able to lock the wheel in an emergency, how much to pull on the lever is a matter of personal preference.

What if when I ride the wheel becomes really hard to spin and has alot of friction without the brake on. Then when I apply the brake the wheel shifts to one side making a clicking sound and then it spins OK. Im gonna try adjusting it, does your wheel spin good all the time?
