Let me just present my views...oneplus 9 pro really over sharpens the image over saturates the colours and due to over sharpening the pictures just gets a lot grainy on the other hand mi 11 ultra have some true to life colours and due to bigger sensors the picture are a lot more sharp and true to life and best for photoshop editting

Except for portrait.. Mi 11 ultra wins. OP 9 pro tends to over process the pic. I would like more true color with detail. So mi 11 ultra is the choice

The electronic image stabilization doesn't work on Mi 11 Ultra in low light videos. Perhaps it has been broken with an update 😞 Btw, the comparisons you upload are getting better and are ones of my favorites! Thank you!

Surprisingly I usually preferred the OnePlus 9 Pro. But there were disparities in both cameras when it came to light colors, white subjects and your skin tone. I wonder which one you preferred for the accuracy of your skin tone representation?

Mi 11 ultra has more true to life colors to me, but both are good.

@@GrantLikesTech Interesting. I thought the Ultra was a little overblown on the HDR saturation. And a lot of the times I could see more detail in the One Plus 9 Pro. Image stabilization definitely favors 9 Pro.

I liked the photos from the Mi 11 Ultra (more detail and realistic colors). Video on the One Plus 9 Pro seems to offer better colors and more detail. One Plus like Samsung tend to over saturate prime colors - green, red, blue.

On the videos of you I think that the One plus is trying to make your face more pleasing to look by changing the skin tone and applying an softening filter. The Mi11 Ultra has more details on your face, but the skin tone is not as "Instagram ready". On daylight, the pictures, the Mi11 Ultra is clearly more saturated, losing some detail and on some shots it's overexposed and it seems like the HDR wasn't working, One plus on the other hand had less saturation and more preserved shadows and slightly less exposed shots, but the white balance was completely random, some shots with an blue cast, others with green tint, wasn't that consistent. On night shots, I liked how One Plus didn't overexpose the shot and didn't blew the highlights on normal mode, Mi 11 ultra kinda blew every highlight that it had in every picture. Night mode on both can correct flaws and they are pretty even. The normal mode ultrawide on the one plus is super soft my god, feels like one of those midrange sensors, the Mi11 ultra ultrawide is way better on normal mode, again night mode makes everything better for both. On night time video, the noise reduction algorithm on One plus is super agressive, everything looks soft and without detail, the Mi11 ultra has more noise but at least it doesn't look like an oil painting.
@GrantLikesTech3 жыл бұрын
Great breakdown. I agree the OnePlus softens skin tones more even with the smoothing effect off.

I own a Mi 11 Ultra, and I have to agree, two most disappointing issues with the Camera are Focus & Stabilization. Stabilization feels broken somehow, and doesn't compare to the Reviews by Reputed KZbinrs. (There are several videos featuring reviewers running with the Mi11Ultra and the recorded video hardly shows any signs that the person is running) Second major issues is that the autofocus is a hit or miss (usually a miss), and even the pro mode doesn't help much because of the lack of stabilization, so distant objects or even near ones, are perhaps always out of focus. HDR hit or miss is another minor issue. However I must say, OIS is present only in two out of 3 lenses. A lot of users have mentioned on reddit, to be hearing a distinct sound coming from Camera module,while shaking the phone, some say something might be broken. Others say it is normal with Cameras with OIS. This my first phone with OIS so I have no idea.

I would say 9 pro is the winner overall snap and shot close & mid range shots, the AI sharpen everything to make it more 3D on sceneries but lesser details on human portrait. Mi 11 totally owned the long-range shot and amazing zoom details.

I must say, the crappy cameras on the OP 9 pro have improved a lot with the software updates. Mi 11 on the other hand, has the best hardware, but unfortunately their software needs a LOT of optimization. It seems they didn't target the camera at all during the update, perhaps they thought they're already the best? Who knows. I could see blown highlights quite a few times with the Xiaomi, unfortunately. It's high time Xiaomi concentrates on their software. They can be the BEST then. Anyway, how's the battery backup and SOT you're getting with similar usage on both these phones?

Well then they must be right. Don't fall for the hype. They're good, but from my use and what I see, it could use improvements in focusing and stabilization. In the end, it all comes down to the person taking the images and how each person sees them. There's no one right answer.
