Hey guys, many of you have been commenting that theres something wrong with my S24 Ultra or that the lens wasn't wiped or whatever the case may be ~ I can assure you that my S24 Ultra is perfectly fine, and as I always do, the lens was wiped along with all the devices between each and every single photo and video 😅 I think you may feel the Samsung looks washed out sometimes because: 1. I disabled AI "Scene optimiser" since I believe each device should be compared without AI enhancing features (AI was also disabled on all other devices). This comparison is to show which cameras are actually better, not which software can manipulate the image the best. 2. Its samples are being compared to three other very good camera smartphones, its not my fault (or Samsungs) that the other 3 phones take better photos. If it wasn't next to the other devices, it would look great, but this is why I do comparisons in the first place. 3. Samsungs 6.1 July update is a bit of a mess, hopefully some of these issues are fixed with 6.1.1

A gcam can solve all those problems without using AI, it's, of course, samsung's problem and their stock camera app software. (But I have to say that sensors, apperture... they are a bit worse than s23 and s22 series taking apart the zoom lens.

You surely didn't study about Xiaomi 14 Ultra's camera capabilities before making a comparison video. Xiaomi provides best macro among them all through its 3x "Floating Telephoto Lens" and 5x Periscopic Zoom lens. As well as, the photo quality (and dynamic range) on main 1 inch sensor is unmatched in Xiaomi 14 Ultra when you shoot 50MP Ultra Raw. Because it's a DCG (Dual Conversion Gain) enabled smartphone.. It provides 16EV of dynamic range with 21bits of RAW data for photos and and upto 14 Bits of LOG Video data when modded and 10 Bits of LOG Video through its camera app.. And what about the variable aperture allowing immensely control in video n photo recording!? But nahh.. Let's just review it like any another dumb camera phone. And take photos by tapping the camera button..!

What bothers me is how you often mention that the Vivo is more detailed, but every single time I didn't found that to be the case, it's just adding sharpening, I do think Huawei wins a lot of those you give to vivo. I also find vivo to be to processed at times, contrast often to high, while Huawei is quite DSLR'esk, I suppose it's prefrence, I want my pictures to be as uncooked as possible, while I found vivos to a little to overcooked and 'HDRry'. At 4:43 for instance which you gave to vivo, I found the Huawei to look far more appealing, colors seem more accurate, it's also the only picture where the image is not distorted and is not oversharpened or processed. I also found the Huawei to be by far the most consistent of the bunch, regardless of lens selected or zoom range, it always stayed consistent. Altho we can all agree the vivo is just next level when it comes to zoom levels at 30x and higher.

Vivo X100 Ultra is easily available from Aliexpress or similar Chineese marketplaces. It has all the necessary LTE bands and 5G and a comprehensive pack of the languages supported. Almost all Cineese applications can be removed with ease and the smartphone works like any other global device, except Android Auto. I bought the 16/1Tb version and I can't help enjoying this fantastic device. Very friendly and comfortable operating system, incredible camera, the best telephoto lense I ever tried. Macro shots are magic, small insects are my best friends now. If you are thionking of purchasing this device, just stop doubting, it is the best smartphone of 2024.

They're never releasing a global phone with origin os. It'd be too much work unless they remove funtouch os altogether and bring in origins is like Xiaomi did with HyperOS. Also, Vivo's X100 Pro takes more natural shots, wish the X100 Ultra was like that by default but it DOES have sliders to allow you to change the algorithm slightly to your liking. Xiaomi and Vivo are photographers' phones. Samsung and Huawei are for point and click enthusiasts.

Just something to suggest for future - try to clean the lens for phones because for Xiaomi in some photos I can clearly see that lens was dirty/oily (I know that because I own the phone and got used to see less saturated colors when it's dirty for example at 2:55 )

I have used all these phones. All the cameras have areas they are better at. Huawei is best for stopping action and Macro pictures. Xiaomi is best for nighttime videos, while Samsung is good all overall. Vivo X100 is the best overall Camera phone out there. None of the cameras are really bad. Just need to fine-tune your need to get the phone picture results you want. The final issue is the Cameras are all changing with every release. I find my old Xiaomi 11 Ultra is good and my old iPhone 12 Pro Max is good. Just the cameras are getting higher resolution, so the pictures should be a lot better. But I do not see the pictures improving by leaps and bounds, just a little bit better. All the phones will have new phones out in the next few months. Every camera is good at something.

5:06 Xiaomi and Vivo are capable of taking micro shot using the tele-photo lens and can take much better and closer shots than that, especially vivo because you can zoom in more because of the larger sensor and higher pixels.

I love Samsung but apart from zoom performance the cameras can be bad especially in night time. All modern smartphones take decent pics in the light but Samsung struggles vs the Chinese in cameras. Samsung excells in software and hardware though, which is kinda a shame

Your "gimble" setup is going to disadvantage the phones to the right and left most positions, since the vibrations will be much more amplified for them. You should use a setup in which the distance from where the pole is connected to the gimble and the center of the camera system on each phone, is equal for all of them. That will ensure that the vibrations will be as equal as possible.

Could be because he used 200mp, the 50mp looks best, then the 12mp default. 200mp has huge flaws, and really should only be used in specific scenarios

samsung pro camera requires manual exposure tweaks to improve contrast and color because it uses natural preset, needing calibrations in the saturation and contrast setting, along with the exposure

Vivo looks amazing in most of these but I think Huawei is the only one that kept a similar style on the photos throughout this test with Samsung being the most unstable (some are tinted green, some purple, some washed out etc.)

Vivo may be the best in Terms of camera but the sound is awful. Hope they will fix this. PS: your comparison was superb.
