I have this beast too, I feel Mi 8 is so underrated until now, never got full attention from mainstream reviewer in youtube, also forum and mod community on this device is not that active compared to poco or oneplus 6

Mi 8 VS MI Mix 2s? Which one would you choose? I know MI 8 has Amoled display but it's notch is hideous! Other specs are pretty similar.

I have a Mi Mix 2s. Its a nice phone but Mi 8 has advantage in some aspects (battery, screen, facial unlock, front camera). The only thing that Mi 8 doesnt have is wireless charging (which is painfully slow btw). Im changing to a Mi 8 because all of those things that i said earlier. Both are great phones anyway. Just go with whatever you find useful/convenient or with the phone that you like the more. You wont be dissapointed (except for mix 2s front camera, it is so awful).

@@Cactusiano thanks for such a detailed response mate, I can get MI 8 6GB 64GB variant for slightly cheaper than MI Mix 2S, and MI 8 has also got a lot custom Rom support, like Lineage or Pixel Experience Rom which is my favorite.

@@muhammadbilal5961 thats the one im getting in a week. I liked a lot the mix 2s, I though i would never miss a good front camera, but I do. That and a not so bright screen are my main concerns. Camera wise I think the performance will be the same, but I rarely use native camera, gcam is my main camera. But thats my opinion, and as I said, they are great phones. Hope it helps!
