I bought Xiaomi mi a2 and here's my experience. !!! Longest comment on youtube ever!!! I bought 4/64 version 4 days ago (I know it wasn't a long time ago, but these are my impressions). Software is the best thing about this phone. It is a part of android one program (you get latest software updates), plus it has clean android, which means you get all apps (messages, contacts, phone, calculator, photos, calendar...) originally from google, and some xiaomi apps which you don't need to use or you can uninstall them. In-app design is mostly minimalist, I really like it. Camera is very good, especially the front camera. I'm not an instagram person, but for an average user this camera is more than enough, I really like it. Performance is excellent so far. I don't play heavy games, but I think it should handle it. For messenger, youtube (a lot), google, whatsapp and basic stuff, it's super fast. Battery... I need to charge it every day. I charge it when I come back from school, then tommorow I go to school again and when I come back around 3-4 pm it has about 30% left. I currently use it all day everyday because I just got a new phone, I'm not just gonna leave it laying around 😁. My prevous phone was a samsung and I remember the battery was acting strange in the beginning, so I expect the battery to be ok after a few weeks. I charge it around an hour and a half with the airplane mode on. If I use it heavily after school, like I am doing right now, I juice it up for about 30 min before I go to bed. Reading what I just said makes me think the battery is crap, but I just don't have a problem with it (yet). There is no 3.5 audio jack, but you get a dongle so you can plug them in, but you can't charge it and listen to music at the same time. I thought it will be a problem, but now when I got the phone I'm perfectly fine with it. There is no sd card. 12 gb of the memory is used by the system. As a gallery app you have google photos, which means your photos can be saved on the cloud, so if you are short on storage, you can delete photos from the device and leave them on the cloud (that way you can only see them when you have internet connection). Verdict: This phone should be enough for everyone, especially for non demanding users. If it had a better battery, it would be a perfect phone. Clean android and android one program are a huge + to this device. Cons:battery, a little dimmer display Pros: everything else is great If you want me to write down my latest experience, reply this comment so I get notified.

@@yertube102 Yes. I play games a lot and when I look at battery consumption, screen and games use most of the battery. I also watch a ton of youtube. For social media, performance is great, for photos, camera is great. I am stunned by the camera, portrait mode is fantastic, videos are very good, front camera is amaaazing, ofcourse there is some noise at night, but it's common at this price range of phones. Camera is not consuming much battery, I take a ton of photos ,since I bought the phone a week ago, I took more than 1500 photos (deleted most of them 😂). I visited a ton of stores and everyone keeps saying that you can't get a better phone for this price.

Thanks for your video, I like the look of this phone die to stock android and also the Mi Max 3. I have a Google Pixel XL now but after 2 years it's now very slow and want to upgrade. Wow, What a wonderful review of an excellent device, Everything looks perfect inthis phone Specially its Camera😍 But only thing which really disappointed me more then battery was its dim & kind of dull display, Atleast it have to come with 550 nits of brightness like its previous successor MiA1 ... Thank you, nice review. As far as I can see, on front side, A2 has an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor and a camera. A1 had a problem - the proximity sensor was far from speaker and - depending where you keep the phone during call - it can fail to engage lock screen. Questions: where is the proximity sensor on A2 ? Near speaker or far right ?

I just bought it, after using Huawei p10 lite this feels like a flagship phone.Great build and design, great cameras and performance, stock Android, screen is also good.Its like a Budget pixel . Battery definitely his weak spot, but its ok,not terrible, for me it's more important that I can charge it quickly.But it's not for Someone who plays games the whole even than I would buy this phone and just get a power bank, it's worth even the audio is great, via headphones and that speaker is pretty loud.

I read online that it's due to a power saving feature called CABC, which reduces the Backlight when displaying darker content

I love my Mi A2. Came 4 days ago and I haven't been happier about a phone. Stock Android is it for me. Nobody does mobile software experience like stock Android. They Thought Of Everything!! Mi A2 would have been my perfect secondary phone if they can increase the battery capacity to 4000 mAH. But I have the feeling that the upcoming Mi A3 might be going to be just the Android One version of Mi 8X (Mi 8 Youth as in China) just like Mi 5X (A1), Mi 6X (A2) & Redmi 6 Pro (A2 Lite). These days, I just keep my expection low when it comes to new Xiaomi phones with upcoming Redmi Note 6 Pro which is just Redmi Note 5 AI with longer display and a notch. Still a very good review.

8 lite has a slightly more powerful chip and 300mah more in battery capacity. A2 has a WAY WAY better camera for low light shots, also stock android. Neither is better just what's better for you

The back camera in my phone has zoom and definition issues, its not enough to say its broken but its enough to understand that they dont have a good quality control, they buy a lot of components with lesser quality so that they can sell it cheaper, it has good specs but the probability of having bad quality components its greater that with the normal brands. 8 of 10 people have good price/quality ratio, but 2 of them wind up with bad terminals, i m in the short end...unfortunatly... but i learned my lession

Joshua Chong you don't. It's a stock android phone that means the google bar is stuck there for ever like every stock android phone..
