Xiaomi is a company that doesn't care about profit in the phone industry. Their phones are priced just at the right amount that it covers the expenses of making it. The phones xiaomi makes are basically an advertisement for the company's segways, power banks... And that's why they can make phones that cheap.

Hey Arun, great video as always! I like the score and the pros/cons to give a verdict, but... 1 - The Mi A1 is not the best dual camera budget! Have you tested the Meizu M6 Note? 2 - I don't know why the Mix 2 is always criticised for the selfie camera at the bottom. We always tilt our phones 90° to take normal photos, so why is it so big deal to turn it 180° to take a selfie? I think it's a great solution and better than those stupid notches. 3 - I think the design of the Mix 2 from last year was far better, with the centered camera it looked much better and not like an iPhone X knock-off... so sad

Still using it , awesome , drown twice , kept going without even drying it out , dropped like 100 times , no damage done , everything works , and I upped it with pixel programming and running Windows launcher on top . Keep on happily going and still see no real reason to upgrade it

I have a Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and I have to agree when you say it is very customizable. I only found out yesterday, but unlike regular themes where if you download and apply a theme, you can actually mix and match features from multiple downloaded themes for ultimate customization of your UI. Say I downloaded a Google Pixel like theme for my launcher to look nice and clean, but I preferred the notification bar of another theme, I could switch the notification and status bar to that theme. Say I didn't like the Pixel lock screen, I could change that as well. And say I prefer stock Android 7 messaging apps and settings icons etc. I could switch them to look exactly like stock Android. You could have up to 5+ different features from different themes on your phone at any one time.

First Mi Mix has at that moment really impressive design, 6/256 memory, headphone jack, 4400 mAh battery, 6,4" screen, I personally like this size more, at least I know what for I paid money, about same (little bit worse) camera... So the first Mi Mix is better everywhere, so where is improvements? Only downgrade in my eyes. I personally have first Mi Mix till present days, phone work fine, new MIUI update feels great (same "no buttons" movements as shown in this vid) ... and when I show this phone to Apple guys, they are usually piss out, due to first Mi Mix design looks really great

It is made of ceramic and has the fastest chip in the world. 65,000 points difference in the Antutu benchmark really make a big difference. I would give the device 93/100 points. I really appreciate that Xiaomi keep using good quality IPS displays. I am not fond of amoled display, colors are way too much oversaturated and getting worse at higher brightness. I do believe that Mix 2s Camera is better then both iPhone X and Samsungs in some areas but might be not as good in some other. At the end there are no other phone that impress me so much regardless of the price. Samsung and Apple, at this point, is not an option for me.

Also the latest OLED phones are plagued with black crush, even the S9+ has it. IPS is far better for watching video indoors as it's true RGB. The pentile matrix on OLEDs is horrible, even beyond 1080p.

I bought the mi mix 2. The front facing camera is the biggest ball ache. It also wont turn when on snapchat! Lots of double chin pics. Also my global device arrived with the Chinese rom. Had to flash to make it work properly, wouldn't recommend. Buy a one plus.

Nokia 7 plus is the prettiest at this price range. Huawei honor 10 prettier and better camera. One plus 6 better everything. Hard to choose between honor 10 and one plus 6. I like the color shifting back, it is awesome, explains why it sold out in Europe. One plus 6 is better for $50 more than honor 10 you get water resistance. So yeah.

Its cool but that its not at 30k at geekbench scores with 8gb ram and Samsung is at 22k with only four is kinda disappointing but I don't care about that like other people do, I like the phone alot. The iPhone in an android with no notch, takes what I like about apple and gives me and android. Neat
