Had this kettle for 7 months now, started leaking few weeks ago, very dangerous - on it's base! i keep it perfectly clean by using distilled water. my 5 years old 10$ chinese kettle works perfectly.

I am disappointed that you didn't show how fast it boils water and does the water have a weird taste like some kettles do ?

Is the cable for the kettle really that short (as seen in the video)? Might be a problem for me as i might need a longer cable

Is there a way i set a temperature in the app and the kettle memorize it so i can boil and reach mu temperature without the use of the app ?
@sonnymeadows65
@sonnymeadows65 Жыл бұрын
It would have been nice to know if the app has the following features: • Can be registered to more than one phone (Xiaomi only supports single phone). • Set the exact temperature, e.g. 79 degrees. • A timer so you can specify a time when the water should be boiled • Multiple timers. • Keep warm feature and for how long. • Displays amount of water including warning if inadequate amount. • Only heats if there is certain minimum level of water.

Rams S. hm on Amazon the seller elec.mall ( where i bought my kettle ) there was an european adaptator but not for mono-phase ground. I think that was the seller Who join the adaptator not originally inside... Attention the instructions are only in chinese ( buttons too ) but there is an explanatory video made by Mi ( I think I have found it on there website -xiaomi- ).

I only wanted to know how noisy it is. The other basic essential besides stainless steel, closed inside so easy to clean, it’s lid is steel no plastic contamination. How fast it boils and how noisy are the TWO other important thing.s

It just needs 220V. I ran it on 110V but it takes ages to boil. Bluetooth did not work at 110V though, so no temp control. I think it might be useful but I only need the constant temp control service which is available from one of the touch buttons.

Most Euro countries use 220-240V, 50Hz, so Chinese appliances will work fine with a plug adaptor. I'm an Aussie, and this kettle will work, no adapters needed, as Australia use the same electrical outlet as China and Argentina for earthed appliances, and Australian homes typically are 220-240V, 50Hz.

its a kettle but with a feature to keep water at the desired temperature for 12 hrs after boiling. The kettle would be more useful for tea and coffee maker enthusiasts who want the perfect temperature to make tea and coffee along with those busy parents in making baby formula in the middle of the night.

@@nerisalobo water in a thermal flask can cooldown while the kettle can maintain the desired temperature for 12 hours without dropping like an electric water heater.
@nerisalobo
@nerisalobo 4 жыл бұрын
sensaznal if it’s a good quality flask then the water can stay warm up till 5 to 6 hours. Moreover why would anyone want their water to say warm or hot for 12 long hours? If you’re single and working you anyways won’t be able to use this much, and if your at home you can just heat the water with a regular kettle and later adjust the temperature with a little cold water. Keeping the water at a certain temperature will consume a lot of energy. I have a normal electric kettle, the water get heated in just seconds and boiled in just over a minute so I’m not really using much energy. Which is why I say there is no point of owning this.
@sensaznal
@sensaznal 4 жыл бұрын
@@nerisalobo it's for convenience like making tea and coffee, instant noodles. If it's a big family they may even buy a 5 Litre electric water heater.

Waste of money... BT connection takes from 30sec up to 3minutes - depend on smartphone. And you need to connect each time you want to check / set up xiaomi!!!! When U feel it by 1,5l it will blow outwater during boiling!!! SAFETY ISSUE NOT ALLOWED AT EU!!! There is no water level indicator.. you have open top to check water level... top is opening just 30 degres!!!!!

While it is smart, it does not have anti-calc features (it seems), there is no filter mesh (where you pour the water out). Without a Bluetooth app, it would be worth maybe only 15 like any other basic device. Wifi is not wanted as that puts your device at risk of being hacked from the internet. You do not want someone else starting your device, don't you?

@DS-pk4eh

@@jct4111 Sure, but they could change the firmware and force it to heat even without the water to provoke a fire. Then you would be mad with Xiaomi. This is probably the reason there is no Wifi
