I upgraded my z fold 2 to Vivo X Fold (chinese version) last year and it has worked very good since, never felt any differences between my old Samsung and the vivo, both android with english language, my google services all working just fine. Ofcourse I wanted the biggers/wider inner/outer screens, that's why chose vivo. I think xiaomi is the same with the above 8 inch inner screen.

I imported the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 and at first I thought I might've made a mistake, but the problems I have experienced are primarily because I'm not familiar with Chinese MIUI. Been searching around and have got it 95% configured and it's great! However, I have only once been able to get the shutter button to appear on the front screen making it extremely hard to use the rear cameras for a selfie, but I saw you did in your video. Is there a specific feature switch that needs to be turned on to enable this? Update; I have since figured out how to get the button on the front screen. That's no longer an issue.

@@damien2198 BTW, Xiaomi phones on the Chinese room come with English pre-installed. All you need to do is select upon initial setup. You can also get rid of all Chinese bloat apps.

To the uk users: this phone does not have band 20 800mhz 4g support! All uk providers use this band (and one other ) for 4g. If you are not in a area with good 5g then this might be a issue…. I been told Honor fold 2 has this band 20 support… this is the phone I will be getting.

That's cap. I have the phone in uk infact I am using it to reply now and I have had zero issues with 4g or 5g service and calls. Only real issue is no Android auto and the Chinese browser

@@adekunleadele105 that maybe because you in area where band 20 is not the preferred 4g band... however the band is missing from the phone on a hardware level... ALL uk providers use this band... thus go into the area with uses band 20 then you will run into issues. This not a slight on the phone, its excellent but clearly not made for the international market.

I was in bham over the weekend and from there back to London and it has worked in both cities with no issues. This band 20 I think is mainly a problem for Vodafone users and not other. Average Dad covers this properly

Having a 11T Pro already I'm familar with MIUI and Xiaomi services. Xiaomi isn't afraid to innovate while delivering quality products. My 11TP has been a beast of a phone and I've had it for nearly 2 yrs now. I wish they would bring more of their phones to the global market especially the Mix 3 as I've been interested in a Fold phone.

For anyone using the mix fold 3, I had some questions 😅 1) Can you use the big screen with 4 fingers (for 4-player games for example) 2) Can you have a diaporama lockscreen wallpaper that changes each time you turn on the screen? 3) Can you connect two Bluetooth audio devices at the same time (can you control each device's volume?) 4) Wireless reverse charging? 5) Can you select per-screen refresh rate? (Ex. Small screen 60Hz and big screen 120Hz) 6) Can you separate an app's sound to Bluetooth device? (Ex. Spotify on Bluetooth speaker and other apps on phone's speaker) 7) Any notification delay issues (even when disabling app battery optimization?) Thank you very much! :)

MAJOR PSA if you have GPS reception issues with your Mix Fold 3 - REMOVE the official case included in the box (more specifically the back side with the kickstand) or at least open the kickstand. I have a *gold* Mix Fold 3 and I was at my wits end with zero GPS reception, until I found this. GPS signal reception skyrocketed (going from zero to 50+ satellites) the instant I removed the back case.

Overheating is something that could be tackled, but maybe on the cost of a decent colling solution, which would eventually would make the phone thicker and BOOM you have a Z Fold 5 without Google and stylus support. Nope, still Samsung.

Far from it. A vapor chamber is extremely thin, and it would be only on one side, also probably poor power management in the software is contributing to the overheating too. Regardless, it will still have better battery, thinner and better design with wider more usable front screen, bigger internal screen and better hinge design which leaves less of a gap and less crease. Anyway no need to go on. Xiaomi is generations ahead when it comes to foldable Hardware. There are literally no points to argue for Samsung and their hardware except the issue with the heat. No competition in the marked makes them sleep and its obvious.

No foldable has an SD card slot! Only one flagship candy bar phone has an SD card, the Sony, and that is expensive and aimed at prosumers. You probably need to get over it if you buy flagships.

It is highly possible to put a micro SD card slot in foldable phones but they're too lazy to figure it out or they already knew but don't want to add it in because they need to have ridiculous large bezels for cameras and other useless crap that nobody wants, and if this was in my region I would totally 100% buy this phone because it looks a lot better than the current Samsung or Google foldable phones. I guess some companies don't take Sony seriously when it comes to microSD cards. Because Sony listens to the people and they can figure it out

I had a mi9 for 4 years I had it on release date. MIUI the software for xiaomi phones are my favorites operating system of any Android phone especially if you have the official global one or the MIUI EU modification. After owning the mi9 for 4 years I finally moved on to a new phone which is the Google pixel phone for the single reason of the perfect screen size. No other foldable phone has the perfect screen size and I'm looking for nice and stubby when it's folded so that you can use it perfectly and reach every inch of your screen with one hand I want it's open it's a decent size as well. this is the main reason I stayed away from the xiaomi fold because they still incorporate that extra tall screen size that I never like in any phone.

@adekunleadele105 no i tried everything..even turning off MIUI optimization from the developer options..But still certain apps dont show notifications even after all permissions enabled..Also many customization options like icons, fonts,floating windows etc.. work if you turn off the MIUI optimization..I really liked the phone coming from a Samsung but the Chinese ROM is very annoying to use

Still not better then the Z Fold 5... If the only thing better is the width of the cover screen then thats not enough.. The Fold offers ways more then just a wider cover... And the phone is way to big, and has no stylus support..

wow, what a fail..that huge pinhole 2:26 its a foldable, you can do selfies with all the cameras in the front and in the back, why the living daylight tarnish that gorgeous big media screen with that eyesoar. 2:26 close but no cigar.. makers pls choke in your massive pinholes...how weird when you have in mind that Xiaomi had the market best under the screen camera in the Mix 4 that was hands down the best 2 years back.. what a shame, if I need to pay out of my nose for that big foldable screen, then pls dont destroy it in a feature that I can do with all the toher cameras, and with cameras that does it better. The Mix Fold 2 was miles better in that regard, how weird they dropped one of the big selling points on Mix fold 2.. the all screen foldable. all the leaks was also wrong..from gizchina and xiaomi cn leaks. They are talking rubbish, I have used mix fold 3 in Australia for 3 weeks now, EVERYTHING functions with zero issues. 5G, 4G, VoLTE, Google play store and all the usual google apps and the other apps I used with my previous Samsung s21ultra such as all the bank ones, Service NSW etc etc. the best phone I have ever had!

Never ever buy this in USA ( can be ordered in eBay or people selling in market place), this does not have Google play services, have to install using ApK, so security is not guaranteed. That's a big risk being a Chines make. Also lot text is only in Chinese in the MI play store. Hard to recommend this outside of China.
