I think the Pad 6 might be the best bang-for-buck Android tablet we’ve seen for a while now. The basemodel 6gb + 128ssd is $299 USD on giztop, not sure what regions giztop is available to ship to though. I already own the iPad Air 5th gen but I bought it months ago at $499 USD. I would have just gone for this Xiaomi Pad 6 since it’s more affordable.

ipad air 5th gen also doesn't disappoint me because of the longevity it will serve you many years unlike android tabs that only lasts for 3-4 plus years depending on the usage and iPad are more optimized than android ones.

I think that the best bang-for buck is Huawei Matepad 11. He is so cheap even in comparison with Xiaomi. It has some problem such as it doesn't have Google apps, but it has a nice stylus and Jnotes app which is a clone of GoodNotes.

The iPad 9 is an ancient tablet. iPad Air 5 is more comparable to the Xiaomi specs for specs, so ultimately it will come down to price difference and iPadOS vs Android.

@@vanessawertheim I usually recommend backups with Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, but those are monthly subscription of course. The nice thing about Microsoft OneDrive is it is 1TB online storage so it can be used backup your computer too. Or you can go the more affordable way with an external storage, get SSD because normal hard drive can be easily damaged by drops and magnets.

OneNote should have that enabled by default. Your finger should not be able to draw. Otherwise look into the settings or toolbar to enable disable to test

Pad 5 writing experience is not good at all even if you use mi pen 2 on the other hand mi pad 6 note taking experience is too good, same as ipads....I can assure you that You will not have any issue regarding note taking in mi pad 6 ...I am using it for last 15 days and it's phenomenal.

If you will be drawing often, get S6 Lite for the better drawing performance (accuracy), otherwise get Pad 6 which is a much better tablet for the price. For writing, get Pad 6.

As the nib of the stylus gets older after 2-3 months, it doesn't respond properly. The stylus starts responding even if you just hover it over the screen without touching it on the screen. This destroys the overall writing experience. Replacement nibs are available only in China and they don't ship to India. So you're left with no choice but to buy the expensive stylus again. Also the warranty doesn't cover the nib of the stylus.
