1:13 this is incorrect, mi pad 5 has usb2.0 (480mbps). fyi, the usb spec for usb3.2 (gen1, omitted) is the same as usb3.1. Both are 5gbps. The Xiaomi Pad 5 has usb2, not usb3 (of any variant).

The important thing is Xiaomi Pad 5 is optimal in performance and battery life. So I feel for average users, it is the most suitable tab.

No, that would be the Pad 5 - it has still great specs that let the user do all kind of tasks with ease, the display is awesome, the battery lasts longer, the UI allows for an amazing user experience, (despite the plastic back it still gives a premium feeling) and all of this starting from below 300 euros//dollars.

@@LucienSabre here in India the price is almost similar. Hardly any difference between the two, so if money is the main point of difference to be considered, pad 6 gets the edge, because it definitely is an upgrade no matter how minimal the changes maybe

@@victorsarkar4592 Your country isn’t the global standard - but more like an exception. Everywhere else the price gap between the two models is or is gonna be pretty steep (we’re talking a 120-130+ euros/dollars difference), which makes the Pad 5 the best value…at least as of now. For a real price comparison we need to wait at least a couple of months after global release when the Pad 6 will reach its final street price.

@@LucienSabre as I already mentioned, if price wasn't the issue, pad 6 definitely is an upgrade. Besides just cos the difference is steep in countries earning in dollars/euros, that isn't the global standard either as well

@@victorsarkar4592 Yes, it is because euros and above all dollars are the standard currencies for business worldwide, making them a global standard, but the difference is steep not just in those countries - which also make for a good part of the world (there isn’t just the american usd dollar…ever heard of australian dollars, Honk Kong dollar, Singapore dollar? And that’s just a few).

@@JardFroln Its pretty good. I use it to play Nikke on. Its slow to load and lags a bit during game, but pretty nice to use otherwise

@@7Luxury7 pad 6. But I would suggest you to buy Xiaomi pad 7. Cause Pad 6 is old now and Xiaomi pad 7 has a better chipset ( not much ). But I would also suggest you to wait a bit. Cause Pad 7 isn't available everywhere, and it's a new device thus give it some time to check if it's promising or not

I hate that redmi pads have no official keyboard covers or pens. They are great value, but imo a tablet without either a pen or a keyboard cover is never worth it, at it removes the flexibility of the tablet

@@glodusmuspell9069 I own a tablet with a pen and it's a game changer. It genuinely allows to use the tablet in a completely different way. For example taking notes in university, making study maps, signing documents and especially any sort of creative work like drawing. All those tasks are so much better with a pen, if not almost impossible without it

Hi, I can't decide between used 2 years old Pad 5 for 180€ (in great condition) or brand new Pad 6 for 340€ (with free keyboard case included). My use case is mostly reading manga, watching KZbin and browsing Twitter or Web.

Sorry, this is off topic from this video, but could you review the Boox Tab Mini C as a tablet (not just a fancy e-reader)? There aren't many smaller tablets with pen support, especially Android tablets, so the Tab Mini C looks interesting, but I wonder if the e-ink screen cripples it too much. It works. You just have to slide 3 fingers from left to right or vice versa. The multiwindow function is being hidden from the recent apps page.

Redmi Pad doesn't have any stylus support. Therefore both xiaomi pen generation won't be compatible with the tablet.

The USB C on the Pad 6 might be enough to sway others who own a Pad 5 to buy the newer version. But for me, I guess I'll just have to make do with what the Pad 5 has to offer. Xiaomi should do a 8 or 9 inch tab though which would accept both the smartpen 1 and 2.

Hi! Great video. I want to know, I can get the Pad 5 with Pen 2 for $250, the pad 6 with pen 2 for $310. Is the improvement worth the extra $60? Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S6 lite 2022 is available for $190.

The screen on the pad 6 is really dull, everything looks yellow, the white balance is way way off, the contrast is also worse, and the colours aren't as vibrant. It has a higher resolution but is otherwise worse in every way. The Xiaomi pad 6 I received also had really bad sound quality, nowhere near as nice as the sound from my older pad 5.
