Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 Review: HyperOS Synergy

Xiaomi's new Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is a large tablet with an excellent 12.4-inch 3K LCD screen. It's powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and runs HyperOS for synergy with other Xiaomi products.
The tablet can also work with pretty good keyboard and a great stylus, though both are separate purchases.

Hello I enjoyed the xiaomi pad 6s pro video. I want to ask you one thing. I also purchased the xiaomi pad 6s pro product. However, the power button is pressed more than the volume button. So sometimes it's uncomfortable when you press the power button. There is no inconvenience when pressing the volume button. I wonder if Ben's device also has a lot of power buttons pressed. This plus the 14 Ultra would make a killer media creation combo. Remote monitoring for video/photo production, then drag and drop file transfer and editing flexibility on the big screen. Granted, won't run Lumafusion or other video editing apps as smoothly as the more powerful S9 or iPad Pro, but the pricing is quite nice... at least for those of us in Asia!

I still have a Pad 5 Pro I use for watching streaming media. One of my gripes about split screen is how in portrait orientation, it's side-by-side. It boggles my mind they still have changed that. By the way, I also use Gboard, but I have it as a floating keyboard on the right side for swiping with my thumb. It's similar in size to a keyboard on a mobile phone.

I have the Xiaomi pad 5. Software updates are almost non existent even for the rare ones that come it's a very lousy update, after the first update they gave a stretched version of Xiaomi mobiles OS, they even removed the desktop mode. Now it's buggy with low battery performance, with Xiaomi, I always feel like they abandon you after you purchase the device. And still stuck on Android 12

I agree totally with you! I also have the Xiaomi pad 5 two and a half years ago and I'm so disappointed from that shitty tablet especially from the battery life! After 18 months of using the Xiaomi pad 5 the battery lost 30% of her life, and I immediately sent the tablet to the Xiaomi service and they changed the battery with the new one! I will never buy more phone or tablet from the shitty garbage Xiaomi company, because they sell to the consumers totally garbages tech products with awful software and short battery life! Never buy tech products from Xiaomi or Samsung, only buy from Realme, Vivo, Honor, ZTE, Infinix and Oppo!

Ben I have to respectfully disagree to your comment in regards to pricing. Pricing isn't just about hardware but about software as well. The reason why a company can look to charge more is if they produce hardware, software and services together - its expensive do all of that. Xiaomi only do 1 of those, but they are asking for iPhone money. R&D in designing your own chip is insane and they dont have their own OS - they are dictated to by someone else (and therefore saves money in doing so). They need to differentiate on the software side and have more unique services to feel they can charge iPhone money for a Xiaomi. Only my opinion.

You keep comparing it to an iPad pro but I don't know why anyone would be cross shopping those two. If you need Android there's a good chance you might want to use revanced or new pipe or F Droid. You might want browsers with u block and desktop extensions. That reason and iPad is a non-starter for me I don't care how optimize the apps are if I'm so greatly limited that I can't download any apps I want. And that there's no way to access desktop extensions.

After my expereince with Xiaomi 13 i can only say this is my last xioami phone. Amount of glitches is immense and all they did was just rename they OS. Try to use it as android auto and enjoy full might of Hyper os glitches. COnstant freezes gmaps freezing or straigjt quitting. Gmaps and YTmusic will cuase ur phone to reboot. I had enough and as i said before no compamy with this many relases can keep their os clean and snappy no matter what these ytubers tell you. These tubers use any phone for few days a month tops and praise how good it is. Anyways not that i like and suprisisng to say Samsung os just works better.

Yes, the new iPad Pro/Air will be announced in a few weeks along with the M3 and new OLED, so those are likely to be far superior in every metric, though likely to be more expensive. As tablets are a long-term investment, my family is still using 7+ year-old iPads, so higher performance is an excellent investment for the extra money. Xiaomi knows this, so it offers a pre-order deal of £120 off in the UK, which takes it down to below iPad Air pricing. But the new Air will have OLED and M3 so same argument applies, the iPad would be a better longterm investment as it will also get 2-3 years more OS updates.

Terrible value. Shocked at the pricing... Samsung is far cheaper (assuming their great sales all the time in USA). The phone is expensive however you justify it. Remember, comparing MSRP is useless with Samsung, whereas xiaomi sales are few. Lastly, they could've use SG Gen 3 + OLED and would been better, yet still over priced. 8gb ram for Android tablet is a joke. Seems like they need to grab money where they can considering the losses on SU7.
