I don't know why. Videos don't have enough definition in them. I have to watch it from further away than close up. Even if I turn on super resolution. Most videos even 4K ones on KZbin look like too much smoothing is happening or it's really soft. I fail to see the sharp definition. It's just weird to me. Maybe the AI is working even when it's turned off. I know the Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is a bigger screen than my old Tab S6. The AMOLED was better for dynamic range. Xiaomi has good blacks though but I just feel something is not right to my eyes. My Asus ROG Phone 6D although smaller looks amazing and so did my Tab S6 images looked more detailed and sharper.

Xiaomi announced there will be WPS pc level just like Huawei. As of now, it is only limited to China region. I am also waiting for it to come out globally first. I am also a teacher and I need it badly. If there is, I may consider buying it.

This is a great alternative not a high end tablet killer it undercuts its competition with iits price it may not be cheap but still more affordable than a similarly spec android tab or even an M chip powered iPad

Seems like Xiaomi is doing some awesome integrations between their Pad and Phones. Similar to how OnePlus has the data sharing. I wish other tablet makers would consider doing similar. I know Samsung has some things and I use them on occasion, but the more seamless setup like OnePlus and Xiaomi have makes it easier for the layman users to just setup and it works. Why does video processing look too soft to me. It's like too much smoothing being applied or over processed. I fail to see sharply defined definition in my videos. I have AI features turned off. I have Super Resolution on and MEMC. Everything I watch even in 4K and HDR just doesn't seem to wow me. What is going on on the video processing. I had a Samsung Tab S6. AMOLED did seem to look better in the dynamic range but this LCD does well in that it goes black. Something is wrong to my eyes in the video scaling or video processing.

Hey thanks for the review . Can you remove the dock with all the icon when you are in laptop mode so you gain more space for the floating windows ? Also can you split screen vertical ( like one app up and one app down ) in tablet mode when your are in portrait orientation ? Thanks for the help

I think xiaomi should really up their pc mode as it seems like it just sides more on looking like another mobile interface than a "windows" interface like dex or lenovo productivity mode. But all in all good specs for it's price, just doesn't have a huge difference from it's successor.

Glad you like it. I am underwhelmed by the soft looking video processing. It's like it's over smoothing pictures with the ai turned off. Videos just seem to lack definition to me. I just can't understand what is wrong. It's a high pixel screen but videos look too smooth and too soft. I like to see sharp definition even in 4K. And I struggle to see even the high-quality videos looking over processed in some way or maybe not. Idk 😢

I've had this tablet 2 days now. I'm a little underwhelmed and undecided on the video processing. Quality of videos to me just very soft. Even watching 21060P content I notice picture looks very soft and lacking definition. I don't know what it is. I enabled super resolution it only helped slightly. My last tablet was a Samsung Tab S6. I don't know whether the problem is down to the Xiaomi being LCD whereas by Tab S6 was Super Amoled. It was the blacks although I know the OLED was clearly better for dynamic range. But most videos I watch I am just not blown away by the video processing. Even though it has a 3K resolution. I kind of wish I had waited and just paid more for the Samsung. The Xiaomi has good blacks but that's not the issue. Yes the image of LCD is just more pale and washed out compared to OLED but it was the actual video resolution itself. It's looks too soft and I can't watch it close to me. Even with it further away it's just noticeable the definition. I don't know. I can't send it back to Xiaomi and I don't know if there is something else other than the MEMC and Super Resolution than can fix the over smoothing or over soft looking images.

Just compare it with iqoo pad 2 pro . Quite similar price iqoo is 4099 yuan and Xiaomi is 4000 yuan . Iqoo 16/512 . And Xiaomi is 12/512 . Iqoo is powered by mediatek dimensity 9300+ where Xiaomi is powered by snapdragon 8 gen 2. So it would be a great comparison. I hope you would do this ❤❤❤.

I'd be interested in knowing whether it can operate properly in desktop mode. @TKBay only shows windowed mode and full screen mode. The question is: can you use this as productivity machine or is it just another glorified Android tablet? To test the true desktop mode, open Chrome and then open another Chrome window. Android doesn't allow this (I tried with Motorola Ready For and Samsung Dex). I will not buy another tablet (I've got Samsung Galaxy Tab S8) unless it has true desktop mode. Therefore the best solution is to install ChromeOS vm or any Linux distro inside Android vm (AVF). I hope this will possible soon with the Android 15.

Pad 6 do almost everything that we need a tablet for.. but those who need more better only go for this pad 6s pro. Otherwise pad6 is great in its price range .. and for me I don't need that much powerful processor for a tablet.. bcz it's hard to hold a bigger display a long time for playing game. Anyway 870 is still capable for almost all game on Android and stable processor. So pad 6 complete my all need.
