Just to let you know that price range from xiaomi band 8 active is 20£ whilst band 8 is 40£ in europe can range from 40€ for the 8 and 25€ for the active. Basically band 8 is twice as much than active unlike your comparison showed in dollars.

I compared Mi Band 8 Active & Redmi Watch 2 Lite for cycling. Each in the right & left hand. The results were much different for calories. Yesterday with a distance of 8.87km on the watch 2 lite it read 485kcal & on the 8 active 201kcal. This morning, another test with a distance of 12.83km on the watch 2 lite read 797 kcal, on the 8 active it read 499kcal. The walking test inside the house for several hours also shows the difference in kcal & number of steps between the two. 8 active always produces a lower value. For the sleep test, the number of hours of sleep differs by around 14 minutes, but the sleep quality graph in the app is quite different. Please enlighten me as to why there is such a big difference? Especially even though they are still in the same brand. How do we know which one is accurate? Or are both of them also false & just a gimmick?

I tell everyone every time that any smart watch, even for $1000, will not show you accurate readings of health or steps, this is not a medical device and you can only count on their results approximately, and not 100%.

Yes, I agree with your opinion that this is not a medical device. it's just appropriate if there is equality or at least a similarity in the accuracy of the results. but this is actually a very different result. So what's the point of embedding this feature or function? Well, it's a different story if it turns out that the smartwatch or smartband is just for fun or style, then all the sensors and features are actually fake or just a gimmick. Anyway, thank you so much for your response.

@@hanride I think you answered your own question, so you shouldn’t rely too much on smartwatch readings. If you want more accurate indicators in sports, then you should use Chest Strap Heart-Rate Monitors.

8 active readings seem more accurate. try using the lite on the other hand to see if there is a difference.

I could not understand how swimming mode works for Smart Band 8. Because, ıt always measure wrong during my training 25mt pool. I mean when I swim 100mt, ıt measures 125mt or 150mt. I wonder how I solve this problem or I want to understand its working and measurement logic.
