Just a few tips from someone who collects vacuum cleaners: 1. You can vacuum out the dirt bin with your corded vacuum (Your Numatic Charles for example) 2. Robot vacuums aren't supposed to replace your full sized vacuums but rather help with cleaning, in other words give you more time between every time you vacuum. 3. If your going to buy a robot vacuum choose one with lidar navigation. (Like the one in the video) the lidar allows them to know where they are positioned and to not go over the same spot 1000 times. Robot vacuums without lidar are blind and use a algorithm to move around thus not very efficient as they sometimes clean the same spot over and over again wasting time.

It is the second vacuum cleaner of this style I have bought and certainly the best🌼 Best of all is its efficiency, in less than an hour, thanks to the mapping of the area, it has cleaned my house 100%. The map you generate in the app is very useful to know which areas you have cleaned and how much you have left. The suction power is quite good, cleaning carpets very well.

Have you noticed the new update that adds functionality of the second generation to the first one? After the room is scanned you can manually draw squares on the map which it will clean (multiple times if needed). I can finally have it start cleaning without first moving my cats' water bowl to safety! Plus you can tap on any part of map to just have it drive there. Pretty neat :D

There was a talk about this Robot at 34C3. They explained how they got an ssh connection to the installed Linux-OS (Ubuntu I think it was). Maybe you could interface with the Hardware in this device using the OS. That way you could still use it inbetween tinkering with it.

4:08 min - "with balancing" ?! After four years (the same robot) turned itself off in the middle of a clean up. Couldn't be turned on again.. Turn itself on and started charging in the dog 🐶.. I opened the battery and checked the 4S2P.. 3 x 4.20 Volt and one (cell 2) was at 3,2x Volt.. soldered an XT60 & Balancer cable to it and charged it with my Hobby Charger (ISDT) so over and under discharge seems to work but Balancing not ?! All the Cells go down the the same value (Volt) when discharged at 5 Amps.. So the cell seem to be okay / not the problem..

Dyson sucks. Well! AvE didn't like the big ball version's build quality but couldn't fault the performance.
@jix1777 жыл бұрын
Remarkably the big ball has a 'permanent' (i.e. non replaceable) filter practically built into the chassis of the machine. For me that destroyed the respect I used to have for Dyson - they have clearly lost their way.

Now I am using ioBroker to monitor and control the cleaner github.com/ioBroker/ioBroker.mihome-vacuum ; iobroker.net/ . The cleaner's internet access is blocked by the router. I didn't like them--the dry pad has no depth so if it picks up a chunk of something, like dry cat food, then it pushes it around or drags it around the floor. The wet pad wasn't very absorbent so left streaks and wheel marks.*
