Enjoyed your video, I did have to smile when you showed your first computer. My parents were video game nuts, buying their first console which was a RCA Studio II. For Christmas my parents bought us our first computer, a Colecovision Adam, so we could "get with" modern times and do our homework. It never got used for homework cause Dad got hooked on the Buck Rogers game enclosed for it and us kids played all the Colecovision cartridges on it. After all these years it still works fine!

ABS is Newegg’s SI like option, ever think of adding them for a few weeks? I bought a very nice system for my wife, for a very good price compared to the others, only needed to switch the ram out cuz it wasn’t great for an AMD (3000mhz cl16), and the cpu cooler is not the best either, but is sufficient for 2k gaming with no overclock on the 5600x and has very nice rgb. Rtx 3070 (ftw3 is what I got), decent rgb case with 4 rgb fans (case had an ad spot at Linus tech tips), x570 asus tuf WiFi mobo, 1tb nvme, evga 700w ps, for 1650 bucks. Case has a dedicated spot to add a 240mm aio liquid cooler for better cpu clocks/more fans if needed down the road. Many of ABS’s other systems are comparable in value and build quality. I did have to reseat my gpu because the expandable foam had pushed the clasp open and loosened it, and the intake fans had come unplugged as well, but other than that no issues. I know Newegg doesn’t have the best rep for customer service but my experience was good considering I had the knowledge to fix the easily rectifiable issues.

Imo i don’t think build redux is worth it if you’re buying the systems under 2k+. The things you can’t change (240 ml cooling, motherboard, power supply, case) makes the price for those systems, which don’t need them, too high compared to other sites.

When I bought my PC 5 years ago, Ironside was absolutely fantastic, nothing but good things to say about em. I had to send my PC in for RMA 3 times during that period for part failures and they replaced them quickly and with no fuss. Sometimes the parts they replaced with were not the same brand, (EVGA GPU to an MSI GPU) which is a bit annoying but I understood, since it was free. Their parts selection is quite limited, but they will special order things for you generally.

Getting a really powerful gaming PC for $2500 shouldn't be an issue, but you do need a company that can hold your hand throughout the process to make sure you get the best rig possible. Most of the custom PC builders won't help you plan a system, but Xidax customer service was very helpful when I was building mine. There's a couple others that will help but their price point was too high for what I was getting. I know a good amount about most of the parts in a PC but the CPUs seem to be intentionally confusing, so it was nice to have some help.

Hey I bought a custom built from nzxt with 3090 frw3 ultra and 11900k, same exact build on Ibuypower was $600-$700 more expensive SANS TAX/SHIPPING easily $1100 dollars more for absolutely no reason, besides the fact that I ordered and received the PC in 3 days no extra charge. You said to not buy from nzxt yet you brought up zero points as to why and suggested a video that was an overall positive review. Would you like to make yourself clear or let it be known that you have zero reasons for disrespecting a great company, with far less garbage experiences/absurd markups than Ibuypower??
@MrRofi-jp7mo3 жыл бұрын
Don’t get me started on cyber power’s build quality and service experience. Ibuypower has a notoriously trash customer service experience as well as absurd errors in build quality. You yourself experienced something. The only reason you get good service is because you are who you are.
@MrRofi-jp7mo3 жыл бұрын
I just rewatched his video to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating and he said it was incredible and unbelievable... what in gods name are you talking about?? Josh has other videos exclaiming his love for nzxt, it’s his favorite company for both pre builds and parts. You need to make yourself clear if you actually care for your viewers, because this comes off as extremely ignorant - not well thought out at all. Other than the b550 comment you had nothing against them, besides a video of josh loving his new pc.
@MrRofi-jp7mo3 жыл бұрын
Nzxt’s customer service is probably arguably worse than the two but I don’t understand why you prefaced the nzxt segment immediately by saying do not buy from them, following it with zero reasons as to why.
@braethorn3 жыл бұрын
Congratulations! Your aggressively presumptuous comments have won you a huge dose of dialectic! Let's go through this one thing at a time. You might want to get comfortable, there's a lot to unpack here. 1.) If you really bought an 11900K/3090 build from NZXT, I _really_ hope you went with the h710 case as that's the only case they sell that has anything near the airflow necessary to cool a system like that. Those parts run hot, especially the 3090, since half of the VRAM is on the back of the PCB with no active cooling and it's a constant issue for 3090 owners. Lots of airflow is needed to keep it cool. - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqC3iJSQqayCoJo 2.) I've said several times in my videos not to get a 3090 from IBP because their pricing on those is not good compared to other SIs. 3.) I can't let it be known that I have zero reasons for disrespecting a "great company" when my reasons for "disrespecting" them number more than zero. -Their cases have terrible airflow, and their response to this on twitter was "airflow is a meme." - twitter.com/nzxt/status/1280548464808439808?lang=en -They disrespect their own customers by responding to them with jokes like "just yank hard" causing an actual customer to break their case when following those instructions. - twitter.com/nzxt/status/1252100487337226241?lang=en -They made a case that was a fire hazard, then pulled a bait and switch on Gamer's Nexus to get them to say the H1 issue is fixed, then made a half-baked effort on the actual PCIe riser replacement they sent out. - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYqXnnWhd5h2etk -They put crappy components in their "quick and easy" prebuilts, like 80 plus bronze power supplies and processor/motherboard combos that are one or even two generations old. In one configuration (the "Streaming Pro PC"), they pair a 3090 with a *5600X*. Do you know how badly that's going to bottleneck the GPU? They have no idea how to balance their own preconfigured systems. The incompetence is staggering. - nzxt.com/product/streaming-pro-pc It's my job to look out for my viewers, and that's what I do. Because I care. I'm not going to lie to my audience just to get in NZXT's good graces and maybe get some free stuff. That's not what I do. Respect is something that must be earned, and NZXT hasn't done much to earn it in my book. 4.) The website sucks. Their inventory management is lackluster at best. We know they _can_ mark items as out of stock, they have that capability, they just can't be bothered to update it to be accurate in the custom build portion of their site. A potential customer can spend a long time painstakingly picking their components to fit their budget, add it to the cart, and only until they proceed to checkout will they find out one of the parts they selected is out of stock and they have to change their build. You can watch this actually happen as I'm filming. It's incredibly frustrating. An important thing to note here is that for retailers like Best Buy, customers can choose to either go into a physical store or buy from the website. However, for most system integrators, the sole option is to use the website. It _needs_ to be good. You may have had a good experience when purchasing your system, but NZXT does not offer a *consistently* good buying experience online. That's they reason I gave up on them in one video, and I explicitly stated this as the reason. Other times, their part inventory isn't good and THE WHOLE REASON FOR THIS SHOW is to let viewers know who has inventory and good deals. *IT'S LITERALLY WHY I DO THIS.* 5.) Now for the best part. In regards to the following statements: "Ibuypower has a notoriously trash customer service experience as well as absurd errors in build quality. You yourself experienced something. The only reason you get good service is because you are who you are." Dude. I...I don't even know where to start. I mean, I got good service because I am who I am? That happened when I had like 60 subscribers. Even at 3400 subs I'm still a small fry. They have no idea who I am other than just another random customer lmao Besides, you're actually quite wrong about them in general. For reference, Linus Tech Tips has done two "Secret Shopper" series in which they anonymously order prebuilts and evaluate the buying experience, build quality, and technical support of each system integrator. BOTH TIMES IBUYPOWER WON (kzbin.info/www/bejne/faCYpX-Fa86jrtk). Yes, Gamer's Nexus had a bad experience with an IBP system and they were right, it was trash...but it wasn't purchased directly from the SI, it was purchased from a 3rd party retailer. I _never_ recommend that. As for CyberPowerPC, it's the same thing. Some people buy systems at retail and have a bad experience, then trash talk the SI. Buy directly from the SI and it'll be far better. Anyone who follows what I do in my videos would be doing this. Several members of my community have bought from CPPC and have been happy with their purchases. Thanks for the baseless warning though. By the way...in that second LTT Secret Shopper series, you may want to pay attention to who got second place. Anyway, I should end this by saying I'm not completely against NZXT. I've done my best to feature them in every SIW video because they do some good things. However, they are not a "great" company, they're just a company. They make some good decisions and some bad ones. It sounds like you might need to take a step back and consider the reality of matter before you blindly defend them. P.S. Josh and I are actually good friends, and while we do sometimes disagree on certain things, but we respect each other's differing opinions. When we disagree, we do so politely, and with a willingness to listen. You might want to take a page out of his book on that one :)
