I beta test for XieGu and have the preproduction/prototype X6200 also. XieGu are producing a VHF/UHF module that will plug into the expansion port on the top of the radio giving it 2 metres and 70cms, making it a shack in a box. 73de Wayne 2e0bvj

Ok obviosly this is for testing the radio, but as someone that is thinking about geting into tha ham radio hoby it seams all videeos only show qsus about antannas and rekatied gear, is it considered bad form to talk about anything else on air? Don't gerpt me wrong I fully understand that radio realated talk will for obvious reasons be of the gratest interrest but when you meet interresting people from interresting locations you mightveanna stray to som general questions about that country and dayly life ther is that ok?
@Martin_LynchАй бұрын
Yes, when on air, you ask any questions that you wish. We hope you do get into Amateur Radio in the near future.

Great video Tony, just one thing, my daughters speak, Chinese, and the correct way to say the radio name is the X is said as SH, so everyone says Zygoo, and it should be Shygoo. Keep up the good work with QRP demos.

Don’t have a Chinese HF rig but that one looks cool and I like the features. I’ve wondered whether or not it has CTCSS/DCS for 10/6 meter FM repeaters (for here in the U.S.) but since I haven’t ever heard it mentioned I assume it doesn’t but I think it’s still a cool radio. 👍🏻

I understand that they want to sell as many x6200s as possible but... For me the x6100 is perfect. With the Russian firmware i can RX AND TX ON FT4/FT8. cheaper radio, 5-10watt. Be honest about everything please.

I agree. The 6200 features and quality are not enough to justify the change with R1CBU firmware for the 6100.
@bunnieslover31813 ай бұрын
@@JJ-el8li R1CBU has cancelled the developpment of that firmware and is thinking about making an open transceiver, since he has enough of Xiegu's coding and hardware!

The overall finish looks really refined, nice tooling on the case. I have the x5105 and recently the x6100 pretty sure I will get this one as well. Love that antenna, does the 6100 also have that cool FT8 feature?

Seeing the SWR and Tuner would be nice. Went out for a POTA a few weekends ago and the G90 was able to take the place of unplugging/replugging a RigExpert. I could have my son change the length of the telescoping mast and I'd see the change on the SWR sweep as soon as he backed away 10ft. Does this have something similar?

From the size of it, it looks like it would be suitable to power a motor launch... Try Eremit for some really good SOTA /POTA batteries, I use them all the time.
