The Eddystone EC10 was full of OC171 germanium transistors, which suffered from tin whiskers. The IF filter was a bit wide for SSB, but they do have a great flywheel VFO. G1DRP

The EC10 is full of OC171 transistors. Cutting the screen lead is a bodge.
