Maam, how do elements of metals stay together? Do they make bonds?
@SeemaDhawanArora
@SeemaDhawanArora 5 жыл бұрын
Metals are held together by metallic bonding. In this metal atoms lose their valence electrons which become free to move. This sea of electrons holds the metallic ions together. I have explained this briefly in the following video from 21 minutes onwards. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXiTqpVsZtKEe5o

if h2o is an insulator why do we get current shock when we touch switch with wet hands
@SeemaDhawanArora
@SeemaDhawanArora 3 жыл бұрын
H2O is a weak conductor, not an insulator. Most electrolytic processes take place in aqueous medium.
