Yes. Oculus is a member of the Logod Historia and works under Guilliman directly. The Ordo Hereticus has already marked him and his colleagues for death and is simply waiting for the right moment to eliminate him and get away with it.

I believe that Oculus has a meta subplot where if you listen to all his data stacks you can see that he is slowly being worn down by the information and knowledge he has found. It’s sometimes more obvious in some archives, but you go back and listen to earlier works you can see a dramatic difference in his beliefs and some of his pondering a border on heresy. Where this subplot will lead only he knows. Personally I think that we may see Oculus turn renegade and become a heretic selling cheap 40k hentai to his listeners.

These turns of phrase add a touch of comedy that only seem to enhance the epic tales in Oculus' videos by adding a contrast to the serious delivery of the grim-dark without compromising the overall narrative voice. It is these little touches, going that extra step to enhance the immersive tone, It is a part of the atmosphere Oculus crafts for his videos that take them a level above others. Plus it is just genuinely funny in his straight faced delivery.

I watch a bunch of 40k "loretuber" channels, but it's my opinion that Oculus Imperial is the best one. The writing is stellar, the voice fits the character perfectly, when he decides to do character/acting stuff he always nails it, and he doesn't tend to put on a slideshow of stuff everybody's seen a thousand times. Most videos will have at least a few images that are new to me. Sure there are other channels with much longer or more videos, but this one always manages to pack in just the right amount to make each video a neat and tidy, tightly arranged package that covers the important stuff. I hope this channel continues to put out quality content like it has done for many years already.

One of his best videos, one of the best videos on "LoreTube" overall, and one of the best examples of quality storytelling in any format and on any subject in recent memory.

Charion couldn't have been on calth during the heresy. For one he is missing the notable radiation burns and mutation, both of which were highly prevelant amongst the baseline human survivors of calth and would have disqualified him from ascension, two, most of the survivors of calth were military personal, the major above ground population centers were significantly targeted by both the word bearers and legio certavora, only the below ground archologies would have potentially any civilians but they were only really used when veridia was releasing high amounts of radiation every decade or so, pre battle of calth the civilians would be working to support the muster so I doubt the archologies would be occupied. Third, any surviving civilian would likely been pressed ganged as a conscript to fight in the underground war which lasted most of heresy, and since supplies would be limited no children would likely be born or supported unless they were serving as conscripts. And finally no child on calth would have been told what chaos is or how to notice the signs of it, as that alone leads one to corruption. It's more likely charion lived on calth in the closing days of M41 and was there for the bloodborns invasion of ultramar lead by warsmith Honsou. The time line works better and Honsou would have had word bearers in his formation as he was allied with the daemon prince M'kaar who was a former word bearer who fought at calth during the heresy.

First time in quite a while a lore video comes out on a topic of which I am wholly ignorant, and what a great tale! Delivered brilliantly by Oculus, whose style of narration and structuring of the lore into a scripts of stories has developed greatly in quality, in effectiveness and as a mature voice fully his own, was gripping as I was was lead through the elements of the plot on the edge of my seat. Of course, this was helped by the epic lore source material on which it was based, and it's novelty to me, but the enthralling experience I, as audience, delighted in was of Oculus' formulation and performance that was truly outstanding. I could rhapsodize further but I shall end by saying I can not recall a narrative of the 40K lore I enjoyed to this degree and eagerly await the next offering from Oculus Imperia. Thank you and congratulations!
