Use a modifier id say with a button you do not need. Say DPad up is the modifier and then with X, Circle, ... you switch the groups. This will avoid you from sending unwanted commands to the game as the modifier when held will suspend X, Circle, ... from sending their normal game action to the game.

That wouldnt work since you would copy all bindings and everything else. It will take more time to readjust everything else than manually copying and inserting the steps shown in this video into your own config.

@@nuggis Its actually quite easy to setup. I recommend to check out the smart action chapter in the XIM Manual which goes over such basic things. My videos usually cover more advanced things, so the manual might be the way to go first (and also sufficient for your planned project).

Next R6 season you cannot cook grenades anymore, so unsure if this is worth it. But what you must do is just create a new smart action that will release the grenade after 4 seconds by using wait actions. Press grenade button - wait 4 seconds - release grenade button.

I’m going to second this. I’ve had to outsource to the community for a better understanding. No tutorial videos, no instruction videos, and more often then not, people just ask to copy config codes rather than grasp a deeper understanding and build their own. Takes the fun out of the builds with the frustration that comes along. Yes instructional videos help but limited to explanation. This is the most informative video thus far. I’ve own the matrix since the first set were available to community.. it still collects dust because I can only give an hour before I give up and revert back to my xim apex. (I’ve owned xim since xim4)

It would be beneficial for even just a picture of what each button in the UI represents and an “example.” The community is a great source to help resolve issues and it’s because of the community the xim remains as successful as it is. Don’t get me wrong, what is built on a technical standpoint is second to none, but without others to help and give feedback, it might not have done as well. I’m hoping to retire my apex soon and just use my matrix. I’m still struggling with a couple features I can do with my apex that I can’t build with my matrix. For that see the last chaper in this video. You use two groups, A and B. Your normal non-anti recoil shooting button is bound to group A = primary and auto loaded. Your group B is activated via a cycle set when switching weapons and contains an anti recoil for the secondary. Its basically the same setup shown in this video but you dont use anti recoil for your primary.

The Apex menu was easier, yes. But it was also a lot more limited in its capabilities because of that. Id say rebuilt all chapters from this video step by step and see how it works inside your config. That way you should quickly get the hang of it! :)

Its the very same setup with no difference. You just bind it to a controller button of your choice. Ideally use modifiers so you can hold down DPad Up for example as your modifier, and then you can press any button on your controller to load the group without doing some random action in the game. Say DPad Up + X loads group 1 and so on.

Have you maybe bound it to ADS only? Alternatively just bind a second fire action, or add a RT100% binding to the start of your workshop result. Normally it should already be in there by default.

You can but all your recoil settings into one cycle set and then cycle through them with one key. Or you use a modifier to basically double your keyboard bindings. So holding down for example key x + any other button loads a new recoil setting.

Hello can you help me so I followed everything in the video and I'm having trouble getting the the pistol to shoot in rapid fire. Basically if I do everything you do and etc the primary works perfect anti recoil is perfect and the pistol will shoot normal. When I go to my bindings/mappings section I noticed that your R2 button is not shown on the screen ( if it were it would have been made the the 2nd binding listed at the top) so I took my mine off as well and bam the pistol works and shoots rapidly but when I switch back to the primary gun it won't shoot and goes straight down (anti recoil). Basically how do I get the pistol to shoot rapidly and to be able to use my anti recoil for my primary as shown in the video lol

I have everything layed out perfectly. The anti recoil and pistol is binded up in a group and I have my switch weapon button grouped up with the "next" binding just need help figuring out this issue with the guns not firing. Once I assign R2 back on the bidings the primary works and then the pistol goes back to shooting single again.

Hey, your weapons should always be able to shoot in ADS mode when copying this. What the shown config is missing is a HIP binding that allows you to shoot. You can add a regular HIP shooting binding to all anti recoil groups except for the rapid fire group to solve this. You cannot add it to the rapid fire group because then this binding will prevent the rapid fire from working.

Not sure what you mean by hip binding but what I did was just added a R2 fire button to every anti recoil group like you said it works.. And Thermite is my favorite character anyway I can get you to make a config code for him and his primary gun pleeeease! :D @@XIMCentral

Yes absolutely! I would suggest to use modifiers for controller players. Say you hold down DPad Up as your modifier, and then press X to load group cycle 1 for example. That way you do not need to connect a keyboard to load all these profiles!

And yes you bind the Workshop to whatever button you intend to shoot with, so on a controller usually the RT button. And yes if you intend to shoow with DPad Left then you bind the Workshop to DPad Left.

I’m having some issues with the groups. I have two groups, normal fire and auto fire. Sometimes in the middle of a game it switches to a auto fire group automatically and I can’t switch it back to normal. The auto fire stays even if I delete all settings of auto fire. This is really strange and I have to restart the console and XIM matrix to reset it

Hey, that sounds like something is off in the group management. Check the activations, something in there must be set up in a way where you can run into a one-way path where you cannot get out of anymore. Also reloading your config or switching back and forth from a different one will reset all groups (or you setup a button within your config that resets all groups).

Your XIM has no idea whats going on in the game. So by continuing to hold down your fire button your XIM continues to keep the anti recoil effect active. But since there is no recoil anymore as your weapon is empty it moves down your aim.

That is something the team would like to explore in the future actually! :) If you prefer the DualShock maybe give Matrix + Dualshock a try, it lets you use the gyro too. The gyro module isnt as good as the one from Nexus, but maybe it still plays good enough for you! :)

Use a button that has no real purpose in the game instead then. Such as statscreen or those things that you dont mind briefly being open when holding down your modifier. Or completely delete the binding from your binding list to not trigger it.

Hey, you have maxed out the maximum amount of bindings. Either delete some bindings and smart actions, or create a second config to store additional Workshop results in it. Later in 2024 the XIM Devs will explore possibilities to raise the binding limit.

Use a modifier for that. When the modifier is held, you switch into a brand new controller binding that doesnt affect your game. So you can do DPad down + right trigger = group 1, DPad down + left trigger = group 2 and so on.

Id go with different configs and groups. Say its Apex Legends. Config 1 is set to hotkey X and covers all weapon combinations of R99 + whatever via dedicated groups. Say R99 + Flatfline, R99 + R301, R99 + Shotgun and so on. Then the second Config 2 is set to hotkey C and covers all combinations of Havoc. So Havoc + Flatline, Havoc + R301, Havoc + Shotgun and so in. So all you got to do in the game is load the respective config via hotkey, and then select the group of the exact weapon combination you are using. So with 2 button presses you always have the right setup.

Hey, check your bindings then. There must be an overlap between red-pinging and group switching then. Use dedicated bindings for both to fix that.

@@drbnasty_8573 I meant there is an overlap within your bindings = a binding conflict. If you ping with key XYZ and switch groups with key XYZ then of course both have a conflict. Use individual buttons for each of the two.

Hey, the longer the distance the more apparent minor anti recoil inaccuracies become. I would say create another Workshop on top of your existing one to fully remove the last few recoil outliners. Then it should also be accurate on range! :)

Hey, its a bug with the current alpha firmware that doesnt automatically activate the first group A. A fix will be out soon. Until then just manually activate group a via a dedicated button binding.

thank you for your reply, in order to make sure I was doing it right I started a whole new config in Destiny 2. I finally got the crouch situation to work as a training tutorial. When I try to convert it to weapons, I don’t want a bunch of different profiles like you have, I just want to switch from my primary to my secondary, and have the aiming config match up, they do not switch for some reason.

Hey, did you assign a cycle next to your "switch weapon" button as shown in the video? You can have it switch into your rapid fire smart action then to activate rapid fire for when you are using your pistol.
