Just baught mine at the dealership, picking it up on tuesday. Thinking of lowering it from the get go too but am actually gonna start with a front lip spoiler and new lower side skirts. Too make sure we don't go too low when we do

Be careful when placing the axle support in the middle of the sill. There is no lifting point there and therefore weaker. It would be a shame if your sill were to become deformed

I chose a different route to you thus far. I fitted Bilstein B6 dampers all round which has very slightly raised ride height but I was favouring more compliance on rubbish British roads. The stock rear shocks are significantly under damped in my opinion. The B6 are far better on the rear in my opinion. Overall my experience is they are better than OE shocks. But they have raised ride height a little. The spec for these eibach springs shows a reduction in ride height for a standard 308, not the gti which is already lower than a standard 308 so im interested to see what ride height you achieve when these settle.

Yep I’ve read this is total ride height off the standard, so theoretically I’ll only be seeing around 9-14mm drop. In all honesty I’m happy with that. Planning on getting some spacers to widen it up a bit and wouldn’t want to encounter any rubbing. Let’s see how it goes!

Note for anyone interested in B6 for this car. The two lower bolts on the OE shocks set your negative camber. B6 has very slightly larger holes to accommodate the camber on the standard car AND the GTi so camber bolts will be needed to set camber correctly.

@@xiolage please do an update on ride height after settling. If I get the impression eibach may return the car to standard ride height WITH B6 damping I may consider this option. Also your opinion on long term testing with eibach springs. Thanks in advance 👍

What's the overall reliability like cause my ds3 thp 155 constant engine management light coming on over the 5 years of having it never went more than 1 month without it coming on but i really like these peugeot 308 gti they look so nice and manual too which is a bonus

I have had my fair share of issues.. BUT i think it was more due to the previous owners lack of care for the car. Once they got fixed all has been well! I did a whole video on the gearbox situation 😁

Yeah i did see i had just rejected a mercedes a250 amg because i took it for a inspection and has like £3000 worth of work doing basically unroadworthy dealership been really rude about trying to say it's wear and tear but i only had the car 4 days 😂

@xiolage but the only gti in my price range is basically 400 miles away too far so will have to hold on a little bit hopefully something comes till then I'm cruising around in an 03 citroen c3 that my missus dad has lended me 😂
