thank you so much for the dark UI it looks way better as I prefer darker screens anyways so it's way more friendly on the eyes, I don't know if it's changed but it was still quite dark if you opened Shulker Boxes you saw it's name quite dark as well as with chests, I don't really like that option as much as it's with inventory if you understand, there the text is white and thus clearly readable, which you don't have with earlier said items and it would be better if everything has this clear white text for easier clarity, thank you for taking the time to read this comment

Very nice, I don't remember the preview picture there in the top right when selecting options, that's big. Huge fan of the varied brick textures, always thought vanilla bricks looked a bit ugly.

I wholeheartedly agree. The vanilla bricks is too consistent so in a big clump it kind of becomes one of those hidden object pictures where you needed to not focus to see the image. The variations the tweaks add make it look so much more realistic.

I love Vanilla Tweaks... I like keeping the default feel to the game, because I mainly play on servers, and I don't like the idea of building in a way that's going to look completely different to everyone else. Vanilla Tweaks is the perfect solution, as I can change minor things while still keeping the vanilla feel to the game. I also have an extra resourcepack with the directional and visual components (Like directional droppers and visual composters), which I put on when doing redstone. The pixel consistent mobs look super cool, but do feel a bit out of place in the game!

I use the Vanilla Tweaks for every version, just the simple things like 3D rails, unique dyes, universal dyeing etc. are the small things that makes my MC experience and building a bit more complete. I also suggested something that could be very useful for survival, some indication on lightlevels, like green layers for lightlevel 10 or higher, orange for 8 and 9, red for 7 and below, so that a survival player can finally look for all the spawnable mob places without the mess of a F3 screen. Great development and I really love the features.

The problem is: blocks don't change block state at different light levels, and oclusion also does not have anything to do with light levels, so i don't think is posible for a resource pack to do the light thing.

I can't wait for the invisible item frame datapack! I mentioned this idea for an invis item frame pack separate to the statues pack, in a way that feels more Vanilla, and they said on their Discord that they were going to wait for 1.17 before releasing it, because of the glow item frames.

We're planning to do data pack videos on our channel in the future! Also, in 1.17, the Multiplayer Sleep data pack is still useful for globally displaying who's sleeping and how many players need to sleep. And in the future, we plan to add a toggleable feature that lets you kick players from beds.

To my knowledge weakness pots are just a fermented eye and not any nether warts, if so I think it should be reflected in the brewing guide which is a bit confusing about that. It might just be the paper server I play on.

My group is doing a server based on hermitcraft but with our own twist, and we were sad to see bundles weren't in 1.17! Decided that we'll add it back via datapack for now. Think this would be a good datapack for hermitcraft too, since bundles are most useful early on, so waiting for holiday season might be a little late possibly.

Prepare for a mouthful lol. Okay so at the start Cleo and BDubs started next to each other. They then found Impulse shortly thereafter so they became the day one crew. Scott (dangthatsalongname/smajor) and Jimmy (Solidarity) also met up towards the beginning and they became the hobbits along with the best husbands. Ren got an enchanting table and started renchanted/dogwarts. Martyn (inthelittlewood) joins Ren first as a marketing manager then as Rens hand when Ren becomes the king. Tango and Etho started out together as village people Cleo BDubs and Impulse were also village people for a bit. Grian led a creeper to Scar which ended up blowing up leading to Scars death. Because Grian felt bad about doing that he became Scars lackey with the exception that it was only until Grian lost his green life. BigB, Skizz, and Joel (Smallishbeans) meanwhile have mostly been on their own, no one is really for or against them at this point. Impulse desides to be nice to everyone with his real alliance to his day one crew of BDubs and Cleo. All of the village people mostly leave the village with Cleo and BDubs becoming crastle people and Etho and Tango going to the swamp. Impulse has his villagers at the village, his day one crew in the Crastle and he also goes to the wool castle in the swamp with Etho. Tango makes a mini game where people can come in and try to get the prize of feather falling boots but they have to go through falling lava to get to them. That claimed quite a few lives with those who survived having Tango make new rules lol. Impulse was the supplier for this. Scar and Grian have taken over the desert and have become the sand people. They are trying to have a monopoly on sand (they previously tried to have a monopoly on dark oak that didn't work out.) Also Joel (Smallishbeans) has monopoly on dead bushes #deadbushgang. Scar has been going throughout the server stealing everyones clothes for reputation points, friendship passes, sand passes, etc. He has his pets pizza the llama and bubbles the bee. Ren had Martyn (inthelittlewood) kill him so he could be red. Dogwarts gained many allies against the sand people. Dogwarts included Ren, Martyn (inthelittlewood), Etho, Impulse (as a mole), Skizz (he made mammas casserole), and BigB also ended up joining them. The sand people are friends with the Crastle (because BDubs was gone for a week so Cleo became friends. Tango also became a part of the Crastle), the hobbits, and Joel (Smallishbeans). And from there you should watch the fanale videos because they are pretty awesome.

Little advice for the spyglass, just hit f1 to disable hud and it completely removes both the border of the spyglass and the black side so you just zoom in

For anyone who hasn't heard the name "Standard Galactic Alphabet" or doesn't know its origin: It's from the Commander Keen series (First showed up in Keen 1, but decryption lists first showed up in Keen 3). Minecraft added it in for the names of enchantments as an easter egg / reference, similar to how the Dopefish from the same series shows up in other games. If I remember correctly, the majority of signs in Keen 1 just say "Die"

Under crafting tweaks you can easily bring bundles back into the current version, if you don’t want to apply the entire preview bundle from Mojang (which also changes world and cave generation). I’ve found bundles pretty indispensable while playing the snapshots, so I’m glad there is an easy way to bring it back.
