I read bad reviews too but it's my favorite movie so I probably would've loved it regardless haha. They changed some stuff from the Broadway production before touring (aerial effects instead of skates and some song changes) and I saw it in December and enjoyed it but again I'm a huge fan.

When you are translating a 90 minute film into to a 2 and half hour stage play you have add more scenes and moments to fill the time. I think this is the best of the new songs that were written for the Broadway version and Sierra's interpretation is perfect. I get it you are biased towards the film version but this isn't trying to be like the film so get over it.

There are plenty of other characters who could have been singing throughout the second act and if they'd stayed with the Vanessa storyline from the movie and had the actress playing Ariel double, you'd have ample room to hear her sing. The way the way went about it completely undermines the story.

Ian Smith I actually think that it was fantastic they added this in. Same with the quartet, it's great that they added them in. I honestly don't see how it's lazy, and i mean those songs are both really amazing. And I mean, emotions can really only tell so much
