Damn I should've asked a question. I'll ask you here 😊 what's the difference between doing gel press ons or acrylic press ons? Like what are more your thoughts about each? Cuz I go back and forth with which one I think is better and the reasonings behind it. I'd love your input!

Hi! 🩷 the thing with acrylic press ons is that they are harder to do. In my opinion its way harder to learn a seamless acrylic application vs gel polish. As I did acrylic for a few years , you also need to file down a lot with acrylic and buy more materials. With acrylic nails you need to buy drill bits , more nail files, invest in acrylic brushes and of course acrylic powders which are more expensive than gels. I like gel its easy to learn , its still strong and sturdy and costs less to buy and you dont need other materials just brushes and gels. I might make a video on this soon 🥰🥰

Great advice on the 20 piece set ! That also seems much less stressful for me personally with my anxiety of getting sizes wrong or dealing with sizing kits or trying to meet customer expectations with a custom orders all of that scares me into not pursuing press ons although I’m FULLY stocked to do pressons .

I have the same problem too, dealing with sizes, orders and stuff and I'm too fully stocked up to do press-on..but it's that fear of making mistakes and not knowing how to deal with it..

@@loved_nailsbyV yup. I think there is many of us out there. I love Val and her channel because she is what’s missing in nail channels. So real. She helps me more then any other channel and more for her words then her nails. As I am an artist and at this point I can some killer nails but like you, I’m frozen! She gets me closer to being able to do it for real.

My question on that would be, for 20 nails - would you charge double the cost of your 10 piece set. I mean, it is double the work, it is double the product cost. Plus larger shipping containers and the shipping is by weight, so double the cost there too. But, customer is only wearing 10 of the nails. So, again - what are you charging for these 20 piece sets?? 😊

My question is about the nail tips to start with. When you open your business on day 1, how many different styles and different lengths, did you start with? I see many creators having 15 - 20 different kinds of tips, in 5 different lengths. But they all say they only started with a few, and grew to have more. They just never say, which ones are the best to start with. I know I've asked you this before, and you did say it was a popular question, and were gonna make a video of it, but, I think it got forgot about. I hate to ask again because the last thing I want to do is pester or nag. I just really need the answer - as this is where I am stuck. Personally, I don't need the video, I just need the answer, so if you want to just type a response here - I am all good with that. Thank you for sharing, Q & A's are the best video's 😊

Hi The first tips I started out with were long coffin and then extra long coffin. This was in 2019 when coffin was popular. Now , I get an order for coffins probably once a year to twice a year. Right now I would recommend someone start with medium square long square , & xl square hope this helps 🩷

So did you just tell everyone I only do 1 shape and length? How many shapes and lengths do you carry now? I know the square because of your videos, and you mentioned coffin, but do you do Almond or Stiletto? Or the shorter Round and Oval? The next common one would be almond but even with that one someone will only ask for it about once a month. Once someone started asking for square I would buy it for their order and so on and so forth until I had all shapes

Its your business you can do what ever you want. My only thought is, when you give away all the tips you have for free, and you pay to ship them out. When someone orders, what are you going to make your press on with? And how does your business recover those costs? Not everyone who gets a sizing kit, will buy nails from you, there is no guarantee. 😊

@@TracyCampanella Which is perfectly fine to do, just make sure when your pricing out your cost for the set of press ons you made, to include the cost of those tips. If your product costs are higher than what your selling things for, your gonna find your business in bankruptcy real quick. Businesses are in business to make money. Giving things away for free is a charity. Charity's need deep pockets or donor's with deep pocket to stay operational. 😊
