At 2:09 regarding Specs... The only thing accurate, is that it's a Nebula Class. The true length is 442 meters. It was launched in the 2350s/2360s. Not 100 years earlier. It's a much smaller ship than the Galaxy Class which DID have a crew of about 1000 people, but would likely have considerably less than the above listed 1,012.

The lower decks people wear sunglasses due to the warp engines right outside the windows. Also have suntan because of the flash from the warp engines.

@@rolandogamez Logic; Nebula & Galaxy saucers are the same size/scale. But the Galaxy's stardrive extends out much further. For both to have the same overall length, the Nebula would then have to have a much larger saucer than the Galaxy. In the Wounded, this is not the case. Just as the Miranda is smaller than the Constitution, the Nebula is smaller than the Galaxy. The Nebula is a 'Medium' cruiser.

Only thing I really do hate about that model is the way the display stand is holding it. After a few weeks now, the warp engine pylons have bent so that the warp engines are facing upwards permanently. It's like those old resin models, where everything bend down during summer heatwaves.

Ive had this puppy for a week now, the pylon attachment for the stand does fit, but the heavy weight of that metal saucer did bend the plastic pylon assembly quite a bit - the saucer now slopes forward when the model sits flatly on a desk. I really hope simply having the big Nebby on its stand doesnt do permanent damage. Btw this model - according to youtube comparisons but NOT to Eaglemoss webpage detail specs - should be in scale with the XL Ent-D, even if the saucer mold is NOT the same as many might think.

I'm getting tired of Eaglemoss using the horrible 3D kitbash version of the Nebula class.... I want a proper Phoenix and Farragut.... with properly designed secondary hull (it's much thicker than the one on the Galaxy) and fewer rows of windows on the upper saucer....
@jonuiuc3 жыл бұрын
I did like that original secondary hull, and I liked the lack of windows, it implied a smaller scale. While their at it they should increase the bridge size too, show the saucer was smaller than a galaxy saucer, as was originally intended, something a happy medium between New Orleans and Galaxy (not 1:1 galaxy saucer).
@Nebula17013 жыл бұрын
@@jonuiuc The Saucer wasn't actually overall Smaller per say, it still had the same number of Decks and the same bridge module just setup differently internally. The saucer however, was smaller in oval circumference/diameter. If you look on the side of the saucer the Sensor ridge is taller.

Appreciate Cap for doing the video, they're always interesting. But as ever, disappointed by the quality of the product. The structure of the ships is malformed, there's gaping holes where pieces don't fit together properly, some places it looks like the pieces have been twisted off the sprue leaving horrible surface wounds and there's countless pieces of misaligned paintwork. For the 20 buck ships that's fine, but for the XLs.. I guess I just expect a bit more care for around 100 bucks.

Always amazes me how many models just cannot get the Nebula class correct. Where. Are. The. Impulse Engines? Its not hard, its a stock Galaxy saucer, those engines are still there, plus the main at the back of the secondary, and this model has none of them. Oi. Too bad. Sad part is they want over 100$ for a model that aint correct. Also, not to totally nerd out ,but, 10:56, those are supposed to be auxilary navigational deflector emitters, not observation. Those nacelles are very poorly attached too, bad gaps between nacelle and pylon. Very sad.
