Find Line Items Quickly

After entering a dozen or so line items, I find myself at the bottom of the page, and there's only enough room at the bottom to enter one line item, and afterwards, one more blank row pops up. How can I get more work space when doing this? I'm sick of being at the bottom of the page all the time, with all that inessential space above.

Unfortunately that is how the program is. You can adjust the sizing of your working panes, but that particular issue has been in the program since I started working in Xactimate! If you use the quick entry field it will just keep going for as many line items as you need!

@@EstimateMastery - Thanks, but you know, like an XL file, they should enable the top row to be frozen, and you could scroll up and down to your hearts delight.

I’ve seen a guy take a picture of a building fire escape plan. He then took measurements of one room and imported the pic into Xactimate. And scaled the one rooms measurements and it did the entire building. What’s this called and can you do a video on that?

This is called import from underlay and I can surely put it on my list of upcoming vids. You may want to go to Xactware's eservice center online and type in "import from underlay" if you're interested on getting more info right away.

I would ask for CON LAB hours as it doesn't appear that XM8 has an option for D&R pews. I see the line items there, but there is not a D&R option. You may also always email [e-mail] to get their opinion on what they believe would be a fit for this situation. Hope that helps!
