I don’t understand, I already calibrated mine, it’s just been 2 1/2 weeks, everything is stock except for new Duratrax Six Pack S tires which I calibrated for afterwards after putting them on. My XMAXX has only been running for 3 sessions until it started doing this after sitting for two weeks, batteries were in good health and taken care of when I was waiting for my tires. It drives then shuts off power and just makes a whining noise when I push on the throttle again. Not sure!

So I have a Max 5 that turns on and flashes but does not have any audible tones and all I have is steering and when I hit the throttle or reverse it just shakes the gears and doesn't move forward or backwards. This is in an outcast 8S with a Max 5 and 1250kv motor

Check ur connections and remove the motor and see if it turns might be jammed bearing on motor or somthing bad itself on motor

Try rebinding do the basics check to see if servo turn and u can switch to throttle port on reciever and check if servo works there also

I’m trying to fix an Xmaxx for a friend, I’m not very familiar with them however I’m wondering if the ESC is bad. I performed the steps you outlined here and the ESC responded as if it registered correctly. However anytime I pull the trigger the ESC immediately cuts out and shuts off. Any ideas?

Try cleaning all the connectors first the esc will cut of if there’s bad connections to protect it disconnect the wires from the motor and try it if it dosent shut off then it can be bad motor

MI. RC LIFE, Thx, I’ll check those things and let you know if I have any other questions. When I got his xmaxx, Day one, I turned it on to see what was going on with it and it ran but was only moving at like 3 mph. It only did that for a few minutes and then it all of a sudden got to that point where it stopped moving and when pulling the trigger the esc just cut off. So I almost feel like I might’ve fried some thing. Turns out the issue with why it was only going 3 miles an hour it was because one of the bearings inside of the motor exploded and jacked up the inside. So I was sort of forcing it to run. I’m hoping it’s a bad connector somewhere though. Oh… And the motor is brand new. Just arrived yesterday.

I used this it works but I'm sick and tired of my truck doing crap like this every single time I want to use it It will turn one way not the other, or only reverse, or completely reverses throttle, I press to go forward, it goes backwards, press to go back it goes forward. And it's straight up every single time I turn it on it does something. On my maxx the self righting feature doesn't work right it just blows up my tires, you can't go fast either or it blows its tires its ridiculous

It shouldn’t loose it’s binding and calibration call up Traxxas maybe they know the issue or warrnty u. I know if u leave transmitter on with truck off that’s when it goes crazy

All you have to do is put your throttle trim on the controller back to the 0 setting usually that is right in the middle and it would have worked

Luke TheMaster17 check your steering trim ... dose the truck turn when it’s off the ground? I have had problems with servos some times they don’t work or take a hard hit the sensor goes off inside if u want u can try taking it apart and play with the sensor I will send u a link to one of the servo that didn’t work for me then I took it apart and played around with the sensor and it’s been working ever since
