This is a very well-done video explanation. I learned stuff here even about other plugins and tools.

I find that it takes away lows tho…especially on drums. Not sure what I’m doing wrong? when I bypass, the drums sound fuller.

Well, this is crushing, compressing the hell out of everything...when you do that, it tends to flatten the low end. For example, the OTT everyone uses, grab something really bassy and use the OTT to crush it....it increases density but it also flattens the bass. If you want to keep your bass you can do parallel compression only on the mids and up, and keep your bass. This actually a very well known technique, you have your analog bass, then you duplicate it and HP the lower frequencies. Now you have two channels, one with the lows and one with the high's....then you crush the high's keeping your lows intact on the other channel. This works specially well with analog basses. DI...lows, AMPED..high's

WAIT.... for sale..... I got effect rack for $129. Nearly didn't get it though. That was the upper limit of what I was willing to spend. Effect Rack has all the good stuff. It's enough.
