Brilliant explaination of how this plugin works

A bit of demo on it's unmasking would be good to know what they really mean. There are plugins that can definitely target masking directly but not sure how this would be used (?)

thanks for the vid - kinda seems like you might just as well use an eq?
@XNBeatsMusic
@XNBeatsMusic 2 жыл бұрын
That is the thing, .....this gives you a little bit of magic, it's reactive to the sound that comes in. Besides doing this with manually with an EQ and having to adjust. I much prefer to use the plugin and finish the work. Time is more important.

I agree. It is more than eq curves. It also adds compression to the bass, stereo width. And in the manufacturer’s page, they state it also de-masks the incoming signal. And yeah it is reactive to the source. The drive is tube based. So there is a lot of mojo that an EQ can’t add. I own the hardware unit and I love it.

Great one! I really dig you doing this deep dive into Plugin Alliance plugins. Thank you! Perhaps XL V2 is a good one to do a tutorial on?

Thanks man. Love plugin allianc, so I am a man on a mission. The XL is not in my plans right now but, since I make a list and prepare everything before recording. But I will get to XL for sure.

Maybe you could do one on TOMO Audiolabs LISA. I find it interesting and complex, and where I get it to work it just lifts the whole track. But I've also had it where it's made a mess too. Because it's dynamic and there are few visuals, I really need to use my ears, but ears can be easily deceived as well. Workflow-wise I find it tough to just drop it onto a track and dial something in quickly. It takes a bit of tinkering each time (at least for me), but I do like it when it I get it right, and this plugin really intrigues me, so I'm interested in getting a bit more of a handle on it. My best reference for how it works is an old German video (done in English) on the actual hardware unit itself from about 11 years ago. Anyway, I just found your channel and really liked this video. Looking forward to more. Cheers!

@@XNBeatsMusic Concentrate on the brainworx modelled, neold, unfiltered audio and adptr one. the lindell ones are very bad emulations and they don't update them at all.
@XNBeatsMusic
@XNBeatsMusic 2 жыл бұрын
@@aviatedviewssound4798 Yes, I am preparing them. But of course, they have a lot more knobs and functions. So it takes more time to prepare them and film them. But I am on it, promise. I like the Lindell series, not everything has to be perfect, I cannot say I like them more than BX, but they have their own vibe and color. Every plugin has a vibe, sometimes they try to emulate something and maybe miss the mark a bit but the plugin is 100% functional and close-ish. If you think about it, everything is like that. For example, If I want that OLD Gibson Les Paul sound, should I get an Epiphone to do the same. It's close-ish, but not the same. So what should I do ? but a 59' Gibson ? I could, spend 15K and get it. Maybe not, I'll get an Epiphone, record the take and move on to the next track. At this point I am just grateful that we live in a time where we get to play with emulations or replicas and work from home. Which it was something unthinkable back in the day. I miss some parts of the VHS, Analog old world. But there are some thing I don't miss like, bad gear, maintenance, recording 500 takes, bad sound, hard workflow. Now days you can spend money and mix analog with digital, which is something great. Sorry, wrote too much :S

@@XNBeatsMusic Yes i agree one day i wish you could do a series on softube plugins, i use the british class a and american class a when i want neve and api style channel strip i also use the red rock sound api module plugins, these guys emulated api 500 series module to perfection. I like the bx_console a lot they are very well emulated and it's surprising how amazing they sound even tho they are not oversampled i usually oversample them to x4 and i get rid of all aliasing, also they sound very analog. also i am looking forward for a fuse audio labs and liquidsonics plugins review in the future, keep up the good work man.

@@aviatedviewssound4798 Love softube, got all their channels, but right now I am focusing on not so expensive things. red rock sound ? Damn, I'll check them out. Thanks for the tip. Liquidsonics is fantastic, expensive, but fantastic. Seventh heaven is my go to. Fuse audio labs seems they grew, they have a lot of things now. I'll check them out again. Thanks for the support dude, I need it. The channel is still small and young, but it will grow. This is not my first rodeo with content creation. Cheers.
