Sometimes my ADHD musician brain don’t know how to organize my thoughts so good lol This was super helpful! Taking it back to basics and I enjoy how vulnerable you are with showing your process of coming up with hooks/lyrics/melodies on the spot. Ain’t always a smooth process. Also is a reminder to not overthink your lyrics and keep music fun.

Honestly I hadn't considered not sacrificing melody for lyrics, but it's definitely something I'll start doing :D Also,, in my case, I tend to write the lyrics before the actual song, then try to apply them to beats I've already made, or create a new one based on what I've written

Just a quick suggestion... maybe for the chorus of the song you should consider changing the chords/harmony. That’s something I’ve been doing lately and it’s really changed the impact of the chorus for the better. Great video tho!
