My wife recently asked me to leave home. It has completely devastated me. I have not been away from her this long in 24years. I have been watching these videos and reading Marriage on the Rock, and pastor evens has really opened my eyes to where I failed. I’m praying my wife does not want a divorce so that I can show her I know where I failed and I will work hard to never let her feel unloved because on my sarcastic tongue.

Good relationship advice. I particularly like the summary of the different gender’s needs - Men’s needs: 1. Honor and Respect 2. Sex 3. Friendship with his wife 4. Domestic Support Women’s needs: 1. Security 2. Non-sexual Affection 3. Open and Honest Communication 4. Leadership from her husband

I know it's bad enough to have your husband be disrespectful towards you , but then when the kids don't respect you either.... that really hurts . I know because I go through it with my husband and my daughter and son that are grown now . They weren't like that when they were growing up, but for some reason they have changed now that they're with their spouses . I don't understand why either ? All I know is it hurts my feelings . I pray about this all of the time . I tell them all to stop talking to me like that . Especially the kids . I'll tell them ... I'm your mother and you ought to be ashamed talking to me that way. I've loved you your whole lives and look how you treat me . I don't appreciate that...!!

It's pretty amazing hey. Wives want honesty and openness at all costs. Husbands don't care if their wives are lying, just say something nice. So through confusion, Wives speak to their Husbands honestly and openly, to the detriment of the man. Husbands speak nice words even if they aren't completely true, to the detriment of the lady. We perish for a lack of knowledge

The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love. Jimmy Evans is a profound teacher of God's Word. He is saying wives should honor and respect their husbands and husbands should cherish and protect their wives. He says this echoing Paul in Ephes 4 & 5. God created married couples for ministry to each other (serving heart) and the world around us (vision & mission minded).

Men need from woman: honor, sex, friendship with wife and domestic support. Woman need from men: security, non-sexual affection and communication, open and honest communication, leadership Quality Physical Intimacy: Sacrifice, trust, and safe atmosphere with trust are important in the relationship Emotional Stress Fighting Reasons relationships are hurt: Stress from works, sex, money, children, house work. The emotion of saying "I don't care" plays a role with these issues. You fall in love with someone for two reasons: You admire something in the other person and you like the way they make you feel.

Pastor you are brilliant and insightful. I have listened to you listen and learning from you for some time. My only criticism is the gender stereotypes that are pervasive in many of your sermons/lessons. Men and women do not fall into the genalizations you often articlute. Please take a more dynamic approach. You say things like,' men need sex, wome need keqdeeship'. Also, I will add perhaps much of your gender stereotypes are based on your your generations outlook.. please upgrade your approach and expand your outlook.. it compromises the power of you messages. To be honest some of your messages have a slight sexist under tone in terms of how you see women's role in the family. Please upgrade. Much love and respect.

@@mattlove9066 Acting on emotions is not the same thing as FEELING emotions. I love it when my husband shares his feelings with me, he's my best friend. I mean, I hope your theory is working for you but it is beyond and outside of biblical teachings. Nowhere does it say that men should never share feelings with women. Many Jewish tradition tend to hold women up almost on a pedestal where they are just ADORED...and treated so lovingly. Feelings are shared often.
