It truly comes down to placing the needs of my partner ahead of my own desires. Leading selflessly versus selfishly.

People when they are engaged are intoxicated with excitement a case in which people can readily agree to things and only later to have second thoughts.

Why I think this is wrong is because it is not taking into account of how the world actually is. Marriage rates are way down, divorce is way up and family courts are not friendly to men. 80% of divorces are filed by the woman, who more often than not will receive money from the man, the children, the house etc.. so the man actually is at a disadvantaged position going in and will lose if there is a divorce. So, it's in the womans best interest to not get a prenuptial agreement. With all the divorce, male suicide and the complete lack of fairness in court, it's just not a good idea for men to get married right now. If society and the laws change, where both parties lose equally in divorce it could be good again.

This has got to be coming from people who have no real assets in life that they have worked very hard on to gain and to keep in the family for the future generations. Just because you get protection against a divorcee does not mean you want a divorcee to happen nor does it mean you love them any less. God tells you to be smart and not to demand that God makes things happen for you (God is not going to force your spouse to not commit wrongs against their spouse, as in one day saying I no longer care about this God stuff and I'm going to start cheating.). No one wants their marriages to fail or end up in divorcee. You can not control your spouses feelings for you down the road. People fall out of love, it does happen no matter how much you try to not let it happen. Some people out of no where start doing drugs and turn into a druggy and refuses to get help and doesn't want help. Some just start looking down on their spouse because they expected them to have had more success in life and just go for the divorcee or start cheating on them. Some peoples personalities change for the bad for reasons out of your control. AND YES there are some out there that fake it or act like a nice person until after the wedding and then do a total 180 and become a totally different person. There are many cases of gold-diggers doing this. Some of these gold-diggers will also just get married to them turn around and get a divorce, once the legally necessary amount of time has passed, to just take half of what the spouse had to add more to their personal assets and go onto the next person with a house that they can force them to sell in a divorcee. You can't control your spouse nor can you control the future outcomes, however you can take out a protection plan called a prenup to help keep you safe if any of these things that are out of your control do happen no matter how much you wish they wouldn't.

Prenups are for fairness & equity and it's not distrust of your partner. The stats are facts and divorces are initiated by high percentage of females, that includes all religious backgrounds. At the end of the day, marriage is a covenant with God but Man made state laws are abusive towards men who sacrifice themself for the family. In addition, marriage is not slavery and anyone has the right to exit the marriage, it's not forever. I was married for 20 years too. I lived in a liberal divorce court for about 8 years and racked up over $100,000 of divorce expenses and lost millions of dollars. At the end, God brings out the truth but the damage is done. The State Law Destroys Good Godly Men, I invite everyone to sit in the Los Angeles Superior divorce court and see the reality. Divorce court is corrupt and broken. Yes, women wake up everyday and want out.. 😊

Some people should not be parents! Very abusive, angry, traumatized, they need healing before they can support a child
