I really have to say, the scene with Zoey falling through the zombie shark remains one of my favorite zombie ideas ever.

I never mentioned it before, or, even realized it as such, but, I love the idea that there's a world of zombies, from "A" to "Z", apparently, all operating in this reality! I like that there's animals that have been zombified, all out for human flesh! And, in THE NEW series, apparently, there's something that's further "mutating" zombies, based on the first zombie Zoey meets, in her search for Dirge. Also, these zombies are FAST, able to catch up with an automobile!

the zombie animals in dead on arrival act just like they did in life. in dead ahead all of them are after human flesh even herbivores due to something mutating them
