The sound of the crybaby with the fuzz actually sounds super ratty and cool...but the xotic wah's tone in conjunction with the fuzz is a lot more useful. Just picked up the xotic wah today...they're hard to find! Pretty stoked though on its small footprint and tone controls on the side. Been wanting a wah like that for YEARS.

Make the XW-2 full-size with a switch that doesn't drop out and I'm in.

I can cope with the reduced size but I'm in for the drop out switch... it sucks 😢

I have a early 2000’s crybaby, it doesn’t sound like that one before a fuzz face - basically you get no wah effect at all. Works ok after the fuzz face though.

The Dunlop 535Q clearly had the Wah boost engaged, a better comparison would have been a regular GCB95 Dunlop wah - it would have sounded similar to the Vox.

Clearly, the CryBaby is not setted in the best way.. almost everyone knows what happens with both (Dunlop and Vox) wahs before/after the FF's due their buffer stages. The comparison isn't impartial and good enough.

If your going to rig a comparison, at least turn the competitor's on. The VOX pedal had no change in tone... hard to believe.

David Rogowski i was thinking the exact same thing. I own the Dunlop Slash wah, AND the VOX wah. This video is not an accurate demonstration. They actually sound pretty good. I'm still going to buy the Xotic wah as soon as Pro Guitar Shop has a 20% off sale. Also, the "Jam Pedals" Wahcko+ wah is amazing.

I have the Vox wah and have battled these issues. The Vox wah doesn't crap out like the Dunlop, but what it does is basically render it nearly wah-less. Not much wah happening if the fuzz is on. Listen again and you'll hear. A wah with a buffer designed with a high output impedance like the Xotic solves the issue.
