@ Baba Emir- The amp is a Genz Benz-700 maybe...can't make out the model but you're right the sound is fantastic. But then to his credit, he's got an excellent touch and feel. I think he's playing it straight, no effects. There's a small G-B at one of the churches I play at and I don't really have to adjust much at all when I play. It gives a nice fat warm but not overbearing sound.

I am guitarist myself, but there are some guitarists, I never tried to copy, because the reason for the their playing lies so deep in themselves, that it can't be copied, like Jimi Hendrix oder Jeff Beck, and he is one of them too.

I'm not to compare guitar players, but what do guitarists like Robert Cray and Gary Clark, Jr. have that this guy doesn't? They are much more well-known, but, IMO, he's the better player. No auto-picking here, Gales is feeling every note he plays! Hope he comes to my area soon so I can catch him live.

That is exactly what it is. He is exploding, surprising, he lives the tones and chords and how he does. There is noone compared to him, he is unique. And he is a brilliant entertainer too.

In other words: Robert Cray and softies like him get, what Eric Gales deserves. But I think he is too much musical personality to go the esy listening. He needs an auditory, that is able, to spot this genius.
